So we're talking about the time he 'beat' that old guy? Got it.

Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, Lemiuex, Macklin, Murray, Proksa, Stevens, Geale, Rubio, Brook,, Monroe, Martirosiyan in no particular order. And of course I maintain he beat Canelo x2.

So, it’s confirmed then. Other than Jacobs, Golovkin doesn’t have any notable wins.

‘And of course I maintain Jacobs beat Golovkin. So, that means he has no wins of note.’

    Bummer.

Let's have a look at that stellar résumé then, eh?

    Derevyanchenko - didn't even win.

Jacobs - Solid win. Close, but clear for GGG IMO.

Lemiuex - No skill brawler. Out-classed by Rubio.

Macklin - Maybe he should have a couple wins over an old Sturm. But he hasn't got much else. Let's not forget when he was taken out by Jamie Moore.

Murray - never was world level.

    Proksa - never was.

    Stevens - who?

Geale - Euro level at heart. Hence the loss to Barker.

Rubio - old. And even in his prime he couldn't beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Brook - Welterweight with an incredibly thin résumé, who's legs were never there after the stabbing.

    Monroe - never was.

Martirosiyan - JMW, who hadn't fought in two years and when he did he lost.

To say these are better than McCallum, Nunn & Reggie. Some of these guys aren't even the man in their own house! Only two of these were better than Sosa, and he didn't even beat one of them...

What a weak resume :lol::lol: Not to mention that if we score the GGG- Jacobs fight in the same manner as they score the Toney - Mc Callum I fight ( clean hard blows do not matter), GGG lost that fight as well.So according to their own standards, GGG with no notable win at all as the other poster mentioned !!!

Need I go through this and contest this case by case or can I just say "opinion"?

Doesn't matter. Everything I wrote there was true, and just goes to show how ludicrous it is to say GGG's resume is better than Toney's.

Sure it matters. I can rewrite that lot with quite a different spin.

Derevyanchenko - A stellar amateur record of 390-20. Noted for his technical skill and footwork. SD arguably beat Jacobs and Charlo. Golovkin dropped him and made him look like he was in a car crash.

Jacobs - DJ was able to rehydrate ad lib while Golovkin did not. He's a huge MW that beat SD, JCC, Sulecki, Mora, Quillan and Fletcher. He's the former WBA champion and defended the title 4 times, with a huge KO% of 76%. GGG dropped him and outboxed him.

Lemiuex - IBF Champion noted for his extreme punching power. Beat Bursak. o'Sullivan, Stevens, Tapia, N'Jikam, Rosado and Camacho jr. He gave Rubio hell before gassing. Golovkin dominated him and stopped him.

    etc ...

Derevy: I had to laugh when you pointed out his amateur record ... This guy has little to no credentials as a professional . You are so desperate you had to go back to his amateur background which is irrelevant of course. He has beaten nobody and he got beaten by UD against the only other opponent of note he fought (Charlo). And a lot of folks thought GGG lost that fight. So, I am "of course going to maintain that" that Derevy won that fight. (in line with your approach of the Toney-Mc Callum fight)

Jacobs: A B level fighter. His best win. But I am "of course going to maintain that" that Jacobs won that fight. (in line with your approach of the Toney-Mc Callum fight).

Lemieux: A fighter with very limited skills, only has power. He has not notable wins at all.Worse, he got outboxed soundly by the only other notable opponent he fought in Sanders.

The only notable fighter here is Jacobs. You want to compare this miserable resume to Toney's resume :lol::lol:. NUNN, MC CALLUM and REGGIE JOHNONSN, that is all I got to say you clown !!!!!

The difference being that you can only write his three best wins as somewhat impressive, and that 9 of his 'best wins' are completely embarrassing. You can dress them up however you want, but we both know that there's only three elite fighters on there, and he arguably lost to all of them.

That's nice. What's his best pro win again? And GGG may have dropped him and made his face look a mess, but he didn't beat him.
Uhm, yeah? I don't know what you want me to say to this. You've listed a bunch of extremely average opponents.as Jacobs' best wins, and then said that he was bigger and hit hard. You think Toney didn't beat guys that were bigger and hit hard?
Again, a bunch of guys were only ever ranked, if at all, for a scare amount of time, and then quite a few professional losers (you've actually listed a gate keeper who was coming off a FIVE fight losing streak ). You don't honestly think Rosado, Stevens, Camacho & Bursak (who I didn't even DL winning) are wins which make an elite fighter do you?
By all means, feel free to list more extremely stretched examples which only prove my point...

Danny Jacobs only ever held the IBF belt and lost it in his first defence against Canelo.

The WBA regular he held was the same belt Canelo took from Rocky Fielding at 168.

Golovkin groupies insisted that wasn't a real belt. Which is true of course. Half of GGGs title defences were of the WBA interim/regular , so its not even factually correct to say he has 20 title defences.

Povetkin also held the same WBA regular.. What is often said about Povetkin - he is one of the best HWs to never hold a title.

Wrong. I can go all the way down the list. The difference being that a prime GGG absolutely destroyed his competition, and a prime Toney struggled mightily to beat his best opponents at 160, and arguably lost to Reggie, McCallum and certainly to Tiberi. Golovkin never would have struggled with Sanderline frickin Williams.

As the Canelo fanboys repeat to me ad nauseum: look at the official result. To be honest I personally had it 6-6 vs SD with the KD being the difference. Different judges may have given SD the win. Golovkin did not look his usual self in that one and it's clear that he's mummifying in real time.

Remind us again about all the green and old AF guys McCallum beat that were these huge wins?

I think Toney lost to guys that were smaller and hit soft.

I think Lemieux' record is that of an excellent fighter. The 'names' that people have Toney and McCallum beating are typically big guns that are past it.
