Nobody who knows what their talking about claims Vitali is a murderous power puncher or 1 punch KO artist.

He's a solid clubbing hitter who has to land an accumulation of blows to break guys down. You can literally just Google his record and notice that despite his impressive KO%, many fights are stopped with the ref stepping in to wave it off or the doctor calling a halt due to cuts and there usually aren't any knock downs. I can't remember the last time I've ever seen Vitali actually scoring a knockout--as in the guy is actually counted out or struggles to get up on jelly legs.

I mean People ride Vitali's nuts all day raving about his superb technique, leverage, accuracy, etc. Well if you have all of that and you're fighting stationary, plodding, wide open target slobs and brawlers like Arreola, Peter, Briggs, Chisora, Charr etc landing flush bombs and combinations round after round, some thing has to give. Yet Vitali couldn't floor the above mentioned fighters despite their flat footedness, lack of head movement, speed, or defense.

Kevin Johnson literally taunted Vitali claiming he wouldn't be able to KO him and did exactly that: survived all 12 rounds. He couldn't drop career journeyman Ross Puritty despite landing several flush shots round after round. Heck he couldn't even drop a 34 year old Adamek who moved up from light heavyweight or the equally small Chris Byrd (Byrd went on record saying Wladmir hits 3x harder). If He was this amazing bone crushing power puncher or a 1 punch KO artist then there are only 3 possible conclusions:

-the guys on Vitali's resume must have granite Chuvalo Level chins

-Vitali's technique and finishing ability are grossly overrated

    -Vitali's power is overrated.

I'd put Hamed on the shortlist too based purely on how gifted physically he was

I don’t hit hard compared to my friend hahahahaha, he hits like a ****ing mule when he puts sauce on his shots. I do know I hit hard from my opponents though and they’ve always been at least two weight classes above me (too light to find a guy my size) and I stopped em all so far. My friend just says I have serious power for my size and always thinks I’m going full blast in sparring when I’m not at all in fact. I’m hardly busting him up, he’s very tough, can take a good shot. Plus some guys have power naturally from the mechanics or speed of their punches. Plus I find that timing shots is the most important aspect of hurting someone badly.
Vitali must have crushing power to have destroyed so many fighters like he did. You can’t if you don’t have significant power, people are hard to hurt, especially top level boxers without going 100% on your shots. Again, people say it isn’t as hard as Wlads but they still say he hits very ****ing hard.

Technique is also definitely a factor, if I fully engage my back and shoulders into a shot any man my size would be sleeping and I know it.

You never met the guy so how do you know. I knew him from the day he walked into the late great Curtis Cokes Home of Champions gym in Dallas Tx saying "I'm gonna be World Heavy Weight Champ & no man can stop me . Wanna be part of it" Ike was right No man could stop him it was a lying Vegas hooker & a biased justice system that did. Ike needed help not years of incarceration. Boxing wise I couldnt guarantee he wasnt dead right that day I couldnt see anyone stopping him

It was not a gift Ike ****ed Tua up by utilizing greater speed of hand and volume to out score Tua.

You said "It was not a gift Ike ****ed Tua up by utilizing greater speed of hand and volume to out score Tua." He did not outscore Tua. He did not '**** Tua up'. You've made both of those things up.

Tua landed the cleaner, harder shots and had more variety. Ike ended up falling back and relying more and more on his jab. A jab which let Tua land repeatedly with overhands.

Although the crucial difference between the two, and I can't stress this enough, was that Tua won more rounds.

Hated him when he boxed, but appreciated him after. He was a freak of nature with his power. His legs were thicker than Wilders!!

You know what? Jameel mccline- had some pretty good genes, he just didn't have the warrior mentality to match

Me and my uncle were watching Byrd vs mccline-. My uncle kept saying a large man like him should throw a body shot. Bam! Then he puts down Byrd for the 8 count.

You are making me doubt you George. Even David himself came up to Ike saying " Congratulations you beat me but can we do this again " I was there I heard it , even David knew he'd lost a very close hard fought fight. Have a look at the number of punches thrown?? The record for a 12 round title fight David didnt throw them all Ike threw more landed more

George wasnt around then Olu. When that fight was made I was on another forum & forecast Ike would beat Tua & was ridiculed. After the fight the forum lit up my phone never stopped ringing. The question was always basically the same
" Where have you been hiding him he's AWESOME "!!! They though Tua was the next Tyson, Ike was supposed to be an easy fight WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
