I am a long time lifter (natural for life) & mostly agree. Your numbers seem very accurate.

I was just correcting the discrepancy in the raw numbers another poster provided though.
I was not making an argument about the value of weight there.
Yet the extra weight can help when leaning on someone, or punch resistance-it hurts with other things.
But even when Fury added wight & some muscle in his recent bout, Tyson was much more muscular.

Im no Fury fan but I actually do think he would beat Mike. The size difference is staggering, add to that he moves like no big man has ever moved, add on top of that high fight IQ, decent heart and legitimate skills both forward and backwards and... ya... I think Fury at his peak edges Mike at his peak.

I'm a lifelong powerlifter (and sometimes boxer) myself (6', 255 lbs, 410 bench, 725 squat) and I find his calculations really interesting.

Well you are stronger than I ever was!
Did you use PEDs to get stronger sometimes, or precursor or prohormones, enablers like Insulin, or just Creatine?
I could say I free weight pressed 545 X 3 reps-& it would be a massive distortion of facts, since it was the much easier pin presses, squeezing the bar up very few inches then crashing it down...

Some hilarious takes in this thread, Tyson demolishes Fury in 6 rounds or less. Fury doesn’t have the punch to keep him off him, size is irrelevant. Fury’s big mouth has a lot of you badly fooled.

What did Prime Mike Tyson do to anyone with a pulse?

    Frank Bruno?

Mike would go through AJ and Wilder, but Fury is that big wall that he wouldn't be able to knockdown.

If B level Wilder virtually KO’d Fury cold, I’m scared to imagine what Tyson would have done. Wilder wouldn’t have even been a contender in Tyson’s era.

Yeah flattened a 60% Fury in round 12 and Fury still got up and won the rest of the round putting his hands behind his back.

Not a man born from their mother can defeat Tyson Fury, Nevermind a 5'10" midget he's named after.

Mike didn't have in him what greats like Fury and Ali have in them. That intangible quality that makes them a different kind of fighter. Born and bred fighting men, where Ali got his fighting spirit from who knows.

This is why Mike Tyson cry's thinking and talking about Ali, He knows the art of war and knows what a true warrior is & admits he isn't from the same cloth.

Embarrassing fan-girling here buddy. Fury’s best wins are his interpretive dance off against Wlad and a failed basketball player. Fury is a non entity in Tyson’s era. Just another big dosser for Mike to steamroll.

Fury's best wins are better than Mike's whole resume

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I don't want to sit here and denigrate Mike because he was probably the best 20 year old HW of all time, in front of even Ali (at that age). But boxing is a journey that is ultimately about your achievements and how you overcome adversity.

If Mike had himself together for more years and operated at the level he could have done then he would have been a top 10 HW, but guess what I don't think he even cracks the top 15.

Fury's interpretive dance off against the reigning 1,2, leaping left hook clinch Wlad was a thing of beauty.

Fury didn't go in there to beat Wlad, he went in there to embarrass him and he did. Wlad has PTSD over that fight.

You're not addressing any of my points with any specifics or retort of quality. Sure you're not the one who is deluded here?

Wasn't a fan of Holyfields clinches, imagine how he'd feel under a 270 pound man who is an even better out boxer and is happy to brawl inside. "My back it's broken, spinal"
