Was Eder Jofre better than Ike Williams P4P?

    The ring magazine rated Jofre No.9 in a list of the 50 best fighters P4P in the 50 years leading up to 1997 the date that ring issue was published, Ike was rated No.10 but which fighter was really better and which should have rated higher than the other on this list?

    Ring magazine additional info on Jofre:
    Quality of competition: 7
    Bouts v Top 50 fighters: 2
    Why he was on the list: Unbeaten in his first 50 fights; great banatamweight who took three years off and returned to win the feather title.
    What he could have done to improve his ranking: Reigned during the run of brilliant Mexican 118-pounders.

    Ike`s info:
    Quality of competition: 8
    Bouts v Top 50 fighters: 1
    Why he`s here: Lightweight champ with welterweight power.
    What he could have done to improve his ranking: Won the 147 crown.

    No. Ike is greater, his résumé is insane.

    Edit: not too much in it though. Both are top 40 IMO.

    I place Jofre at no1at Bantam.
    Williams at no3 at Light. Not much in it imo.

    Not for me, no. I have Ike clearly ahead of Jofre.

    Williams' resume is deeper, but I think Jofre was better - though not by much.
