[QUOTEIke was the big secret.="C.J., post: 20669822, member: 39142"]George wasnt around then Olu. When that fight was made I was on another forum & forecast Ike would beat Tua & was ridiculed. After the fight the forum lit up my phone never stopped ringing. The question was always basically the same
" Where have you been hiding him he's AWESOME "!!! They though Tua was the next Tyson, Ike was supposed to be an easy fight WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]

I consider Tyson the most athletically gifted since Ali. After him was Lewis. Tall, quick, strong, great agility and reactions, just kind of chinny. After him I would say Anthony Joshua, but much slower and not as agile and also chinny.

This is just athleticism, not best. Right now I'd favor Fury to outbox Joshua, and he's got good movement for his size, but don't consider him as athletic.

OK so you did not mean what you said literally.
Vitali does not need to have crushing power by the standards of a pro or SHW sized HW to stop his opponents.
"Significant power" is very different; that could well mean just clearly above average for a pro HW.

You can KO many with accuracy suprise technique superior size & defense so you cannot be easily hit etc.
Also others have described how fights are stopped such as on cuts; not that he tends to "destroy" fighters.
"What people say" is somewhat sloppy Trump-esque logic: first it cites no specifics.
Nor even how common the beliefe is.
Or if the people who are credible authorities on matters agree.

Also it is a basic logicaly fallacy that what is the most popular opinion is correct.
However, the consensus opinion-certainly among those in the know-is not that he hits so very hard.
Given his size he likely hit harder than average: like a 7 out of 10.
That is very very different from someone like Wlad who at worst was a 9, & likely a 10.

Hamed was quick but Camacho was just as quick however Hamed had power too but so did Hearns, Hamed could slip shots better than Hearns but not as well as Bentez could, I`d say all those guys would be on the shorrtlist as great athletic fighters with natural gifts, throw in in Ray Leonard and Roy Jones too because of their hand speed and power.

Yea, it´s pretty hard to argue with this. For a guy his size, he has immense coordination.
And I would like to give him credit for developing it.
He used to be just a tall doofus who was half decent at boxing(at a domestic level).

But something clicked after this fight and Fury just got better and better as an athlete and a boxer.

Comparing Fury from Chisora 1 to Chisora 2, it´s like looking at a different fighter.

I'm sure Curtis never said any such thing ROFL For one thing they never trained in Houston lol Curtis Home of Champions gym was in DALLAS Texas .They never sparred daily either Kirk's manager wouldnt let him spar Ike. Though to watch them spar would be great. Both of those guys had what it took to become a champion thanks to the late great Curtis Cokes. Sadly neither made it for very different reasons. One because of a greedy lying hooker & the other a victim of John Ruiz acadamy award worthy acting & Joe Cortez falling for it

Dude I don't know what you are smoking Ike arguably lost every round until he Caught Byrd in the 5th and Byrd was stopped on his feet not out cold Wladamir arguably never lost a round to Byrd dropped him has scored a KO over him in the second fight and unlike Ike's it was not a competative fight. Ike was a good prospect a plodder but Like McCall was a mental midget and would of been derailed. besides if he was nearly as talented as his myth he wouldn't of went life and death with Tua he would of easily outboxed him.
