He's desperately trying to figure out a way to prove GGG hits harder than Roy Jones Jr, after he's avoided the question twice.

We won't see him for a bit, methinks.

This has got potential to reach 100 pages.

    Especially if Ra joins.

Although I’d definitely need to see a therapist at the end of the week.

Loudon : This is fine. But you simply won’t allow for circumstances.

Now as you’ll see, I have answered every one of your questions.

So do me the courtesy of answering mine.

Once again, every guy on this forum would have put their house on a prime version of GG beating Dave Tiberi.

    But these guys aren’t machines.

Whilst I’m absolutely certain that GG would have beaten Toney whilst at his best, NEITHER of us know what would have happened if GG had fought Tiberi UNDER THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES as what Toney did.

This was the whole point in me asking my questions which you still haven’t answered.

Let me give you a hypothetical scenario:

A young, early 20’s version of GG, had fought Canelo twice, Danny Jacobs, AND 2 other fighters in just a 9 month period.

    What would have happened?

    This content is protected

Now obviously, nobody knows. But the point is, we can’t just assume that GG would have fought to his full capabilities in his 5th fight, if he’d fought 3 elite fighters before that point, with his 5th fight being just 7 weeks after one of the Canelo or Jacobs fights.

    .

You are not allowing for the human factor.

What if GG hadn’t have been motivated to fight a C class guy, just 7 weeks after an extremely close fight against Canelo or Jacobs?

    This content is protected

All you’re doing, is thinking about the BEST VERSION of GG fighting Tiberi.

    This content is protected

    You are completely blinkered.
    This content is protected

    Let me tell you this:

I would have put my house on the BEST version of Toney to have beaten Tiberi.

    This content is protected

Now I keep telling you that the version of Toney who fought Tiberi WOULD NOT have beaten Reggie, Nunn and McCallum.

    This content is protected

Yet you won’t allow for an anomaly.

    This content is protected

You won’t accept that Toney had fought a GREAT fighter who he admired in McCallum, before turning up UNMOTIVATED to fight a C class guy who had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Mendoza: Not true, I think he was one of the top 20 all time middle weights. Being mentally sound is part of boxing, if you want to admit it, that was not Tony's forte.

Now let me give you a perfect example of what I’m talking about.

    Let’s look at David Lemieux.

    This content is protected

By your own admission, you think that David Lemieux could have beaten Roy Jones. You rate Lemieux very highly and think that he was a very good fighter. And that’s cool. That your opinion, what you’re entitled to.

So please answer me this question honestly: (I have answered ALL of yours)
    This content is protected

How did Billy Joe Saunders EMBARRASS David Lemiuex, WHEN he barely beat a EUROPEAN level fighter in Artur Akavov?

    This content is protected

Please do me the courtesy of answering please.

Saunders was LUCKY to beat that EUROPEAN level MW, yet he EASILY beat a guy who you rate very highly.

I don't think Mendoza has it in him to run both accounts for that long.

I have no idea. I just like the idea of Mendoza going from this six foot two Klitschko looking guy, to putting on a poncho and talking like Rasta mouse as he changes personalities.

You sure can count him in.I just checked the RING ratings and Prince Williams was No 4 at light heavyweight before the Toney fight.

An impressive win by Toney.Indeed prior to the Toney fight, Williams only lost once in 10 years and that was to Henry Maske in Germany after a long layoff.Williams was in tip top shape for the Toney fight and came in with the Tiberi gameplan.

    Mendoza,

Seeing as though you have taken the time out to post this, I will answer your points. But the issue I have with you, is that you still won’t answer the exact questions that I’ve set you. You simply twist them around so you can answer them in a different way, to suit your agenda.

You’re not listening. He didn’t blow out Rolls and Vanes just 7 weeks after he’d fought Canelo twice and Jacobs. That is the point I’m making.

Why do you think the guys of the 30’s and 40’s had so many losses.

You do not know if Tiberi would have been a blow out, IF GG hadn’t have been motivated, and he’d just fought Canelo just 7 weeks earlier. It wouldn’t have been a given.

    Good stuff.

We just need GG’s ranked opponents now.

What i remember most about Thomas was that brilliant jab, cast iron jaw and fading rapidly likely due to previous drug use and later digressions. His chin was probably the best in the division for a time. Coetzee's massive right hand did nothing, Witherspoons best punches were often immediately returned with interest and Weavers bombs were also shipped.

Was that a style choice in the 80s? I don't know, I wasn't around. But it seems like everyone was doing it.
