If you like and watch a lot of other sport then you might feel it's worth it I suppose, but for me I'd only be buying for the boxing so would be an as and when purchase.
Brilliant stuff from Frank. At least we can look forward to our 3 Womens fights as part of our Sky sports subscription..... But we can pay the small sum of only £25 for the Sasha Vs Whyte rematch, we may even have some cheeky pyrotechnics Koogs. Matchroom are a joke and Frank is bossing it atm. Soon Frank and BT will hold the monopoly over UK boxing and Eddie will be begging Frank for a meal to discuss fights.
Frank and bt have the potential to take control of the uk market but they need to put competitive fights on. It’s very simple! Put your top fighters in 50/50 fights for titles (they don’t have to be world titles) and people will watch and more interest will be gained. Nobody is interested in seeing Yarde or Dubois vs cab drivers with odds at the bookies on the challengers being 50-1
I can accept two of the best HWs being a PPV fight. Its not like like say one previous proven top fighter and now past it came out retirement to fight guys outside the top 40 bad and put it on PPV bad ( Fury vs Schwarz or Wallin).
I think they worry that if their top guys are defeated they lose too much value. We all need to pay less attention to the unbeaten 0 and more to the calibre of opponent faced.
I think this decision is more down to Whyte v Povetkin being PPV a week earlier and then having hope fans buy another PPV only 7 days later.
A brainless decision by BT. One look at WWE PPV buyrates would have told them that WWE popularity was way down and Sky were quite content to let it go.
There's nothing wrong with just enjoying the sport without supporting a promotional company like a football team
All posts of yours I read are Anti-Warren, Anti-Fury and Pro-Matchroom. I've never known this phenomenon of 'supporting' Matchroom until Joshua first broke through in 2015/2016ish. So strange.
I don't get it either. It's like when people are obsessed with how many ppv's a fight sells, or how much money a fighter makes. I couldn't care less. I'm sure they aren't sitting on internet forums discussing how much we get paid, or how many people pay to watch us striptease on Television X.
I consider myself a big fan of both Joyce and Duboos. I would certianly say there is a large portion of this forum as "anti matchroom" brigade that are extremely biased against anything matchroom. To the point where top fighters such as AJ and Whyte are referred as bums or puddings and not deemed to be top fighters despite AJ clearly having the best resume in the divison whilst Whyte easily has one of top resumes too. Yet the same posters will refer to Wallin as a "very good fighter" is mind boggling.
