Mayweather was truly great. Not too many I'd pick over him. But, gun to my head...

    Favoured at LightWelter:
    Napoles
    Duran
    Armstrong
    Chavez

    Possibly at LightWelter:
    I Williams
    Whitaker
    McFarland
    Ross
    Cervantes
    Pacquiao
    Gans
    B Leonard
    Benitez

    Favoured at LightWeight:
    Gans
    B Leonard
    Duran
    Armstrong
    Whitaker
    Ike Williams
    Ortiz

    Possibly at LightWeight:
    Ross
    McFarland
    Arguello
    Chavez

    Favoured at SuperFeather:
    Armstrong
    Saddler

    Possibly at SuperFeather:
    Pep
    Arguello
    Chavez
    Sanchez
    Nelson
    Pacquiao
    Lomachenko
    Castillo

    These are my best guesses.
I may have made a few errors... it's late in my part of the world.

I felt Jose Luis edged Mayweather as well. Mayweather beat a many tp level fighters, but he was care on who he choose

Disagree on all points. Duran was green. A four year veteran with over 20 fights, not so much. As you know this was the mid point of his 8 year career. Marcel looked fantastic just a year later in the video I highlighted.

It's not going down as a legacy win given the timing, but as a demonstration of raw ability, it means a lot, and was very impressive.

The stoppage is up for debate. But Marcel was being dominated and not fighting back.

On that note, I will say Marcel at his Featherweight peak from 70-74 would be able to frustrate and outbox Mayweather of the Hernadez fight. Would he get the decision though? Hmmm.

Henry Armstrong, Benny Leonard, and Whitaker spring to mind, straight off the bat.

If SRL could, then so could FMJ.

I saw them, but in their first fight, SRL did not run like he usually did, he tried to beat Duran at his own game, so he lost. When SRL ran and just tapped in order to score points, he won. Mayweather would do the same.

If you think Leonard didn't try to out-box Duran after being hurt, you need to watch it again. Also, Leonard was quicker, stronger and hit much, much harder than Floyd.

Just because Leonard can do it, doesn't mean Mayweather can.
