    I won’t deny he signed with the wrong people who are wasting his career but the thread wasn’t “Whats your opinion of the guy” it is “what stands out”

    Not sure either, but there definitely is something I really like about him. I think it probably boils down to that he shares the same last name as my boxing watching buddy. So I always get to say stuff like, "dude, your cousin is fighting this weekend!" (even though my friend is white).

    Always looking for a counter and knocks out all of his opponents, throws a lot of counter hooks but doesn`t have much craft compared to a fighter like Loma, is a great swith-hitter.

    anyone can look good against the opposition he's had. I'm not buying the p4p label, I don't see the skillset. He's above average sure but that doesn't make him elite. Its the same problem I have with spence, I keep hearing about his skills and talents and yet I don't see any, he just beats up weaker and smaller guys, or bums. Another above average fighter that is hailed as p4p material. I have more respect for guys like austin trout that actually took real challenges and tested themselves.

    That he has only a tenuous command of the English language.

    But he seems like a decent guy otherwise. Deluded about his skill levels, but decent.
