I know Lamotta has legendary durability but he was stopped and Jackson's speed and power is unreal. I think Lamotta open defence sees Jake get stopped, whether it's a KO/ref/corner I'm not sure. Jackson as a pure puncher is a fair bit above Robinson and Nardico.
I like LaMotta by stoppage in 4. No way Jackson hurts him and goes 2 fisted to the body the upstairs to stop Jackson. Jake was an all time great with skills not even seen today. Be like slowly putting Jackson down a violent garbage disposal.
LaMotta over 15. Jackson razor thin over 12, kinda like the Tate fight. LaMotta doesn't really have the power to take Jackson out, and I doubt he'll out-work him out the gate with that power being rattled off him every time he misses, but as Jackson keeps hurling everything to those huge shots, and Jake works the body viciously, Jackson starts to tire out. Jake comes on late and either makes it extremely close, or wins decisively depending on distance. He may stop him over 15 actually. And I don't doubt that LaMotta can take Jackson's best. I'd rate Robinson higher as a puncher due to his speed and combinations and Nardico higher due to his size advantage. Plus LaMotta was either drained or old/small.
Did Julian have another brother named Julian? He must because Julian is not a great MW yet people keep talking like he is. He must have a brother, maybe an evil twin who looked just like him and did some of the great things that Julian didn’t. Either way Jake stops him before double digit rounds.
Sorry friend but this is foolishness. It is like you know NOTHING about LaMotta. Nardico? Are u kidding me? His last fight. You're better than this Geoorge.or we all greatly overestimated you. RIGHT ON TO A T!!!!!!!! IT'S like Jake was a Irish Leroy Haley or Ray Mancini or something. Sad.
Jackson. Too fast, too much punching power for LaMotta to be able to handle. The Hawk also has a reach advantage.
I only brought up Nardico because he'd already been mentioned. And I didn't even use it as an example against LaMotta, I used it as an example for him winning.
picking Julian to beat very/good to great MW’s is like picking Wilfredo Gomez to beat very good/great Featherweights. Sure I guess it can happen in bizzaro world, but real life gives no indication that this is true.
Actually, real life gives no indication that LaMotta is in the same league as Jackson. By almost every conceivable metric, Jackson is superior. The only department where one might say LaMotta has an edge is durability/chin.
