Man, that wasn't even a nice, tight hook. It was a sloppy half hook, half jab.

Looked like one of those Vitali jabs that turns into a long hook at the end of its trajectory. Looked to snap his head back regardless. Very hard shot.

I remember Semmy Schilt used to knock out a lot of opponents with jabs. It can be used as a power punch if delivered right.

Vitali never threw such a technically sound and fluid hook like that.. He pushed , prodded and poked his punches.
It was Wlad who turned over a left hook similar to that one.

Vitali did it too, watch the Briggs and Williams fights for multiple examples.

Slaps. The reason Briggs took 1000 punches without going down is because he saw everything coming and was able to brace for the impact.
Vitali's technique was all over the place. The shot that guy threw as punch perfect.

Like me some Makhmudov. He's going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Lemmy didn't look as terrible as in the Bursak fight at least.

How high is Arslanbek's ceiling? Can he take a pop on the whiskers as well as he can dish one out? We'll find out in the upcoming years but one thing I'm very confident about is he possesses freakishly heavy hands and he can leave anyone in the division in a quivering heap if he catches them clean. Obviously he's massive unit at 6'5½'' and over 260lbs but he's not as slow some try to make out he is and he's athletic too.

Brutal straight right and right hook, brutal right uppercut, and a brutal left hook too

Fight made sense domestically and Carman really wasn't a bad opponent for him on paper. Time to try and book a fight with someone a level or two above that though. That might not be easy though so Kean makes sense and would probably generate a fair amount of interest domestically. Also would be fun while it lasted. Both guys are huge with big power.

Kean would be destroyed. He's awful.

Time to put the Mak man in with some more durable guys like Takam or Hammer. He's good enough to take them on right now.

What I really like about these Caucus Russians is that they're always in the gym and always trying to improve their skill set.

If Makmudov goes in against Wilder, i think Deontay gets crushed.

Nah, it didn't make sense. Makhmudov needs some durable guys in front of him who can give him a couple of rounds. It was crystal clear that Carman won't see a Round 2 here so it was an useless record padding because Carman still has a win over Kean and is supposed to be a big hitter in Canada and probably a Top 5 HW in the country.

Yeah. And I think those guys would take the fight probably. But if it can't happen. Squeezing Kean in at the end of the year or early 2021 would not be a crime.
