Haven't had one of these for four or five years (nor a kid arriving on the forum asking for tips on throwing punches because he's got to fight some kid at school tomorrow), but this time what I'll do is ruthlessly enforce the rules and see what the board comes up with!

The rules are simple. If you had to bet everything you own on the man you pick to beat each of the below, who are you picking and why? The Final Bosses are:

    LHW: Ezzard Charles
    MW: Carlos Monzon
    WW: Sugar Ray Robinson
    LW: Roberto Duran
    FW: Sandy Saddler
    BW: Ruben Olivares
    FW: Miguel Canto

All are assumed to be in their primes, trained to the absolute quill and motivated by a winner takes all purse of $175m. But so is your guy.

    So who is your guy?

Rules: No honorable mentions, no hedging your bets. ONE name per weight class. That said you can just do one of the weight classes if you like - or three or four. Totally up to you. But no "maybes" no "ifs" no ands and no buts. Who is the one guy you are betting everything you own upon to beat the man listed above? Your bet isn't for the full seven fights btw, it's on a weight by weight basis, so don't fret  Fights are fifteen rounds governed by a 1960s referee.

You'd bet it all on a guy with no film available?

    175--Roy Jones
    160--Roy Jones
    147--Floyd Mayweather*
    135--Floyd Mayweather
    126--Lomachenko
    118--Rigondeaux
    115--Nonito Donaire

*More consistent than Hearns and Leonard and we never learned how high his roof is. Robinson also had holes defensively that would give Mayweather something to work with.

Heavy lean on guys you haven't seen very much of! Greb at MW, I expected to run into a fair bit of that - are you really happy betting everything you own on a guy you've never seen box? I'm presuming you are given your picks of McFarland and Wolgast further down the list having only seen them a handful of times too.

This is actually really interesting - prime for prime you think Marshall is a good match for Charles, the way things went? And same question for Pep-Saddler.

I'm more confident in rating a guy I've spent more time looking into than someone with more footage I've not made a serious effort to research.

I think Marshall was definitely past it when Charles beat him, and through there series I think best for best I suspect Marshall was bad for Charles. Pep was pretty past prime in the Sadler series too.

I'm not confident in picking any Welter to beat Robinson, I have a bit of a hunch with Walker

Yes and no. I do think that Harada is an awful style for Canto, similar to how Park was but I also regard Harada from Kingpetch I as the better flyweight force, H2H.

Given that a non-injured Charles thrashed him twice, I sincerely doubt he did.
