Has Canelo ever defeated the #1 in any division without controversy?

The sad part is, idiots like @m.s. consider Rubio an ATG quality opponent. They didn’t exist back when Rubio was considered a joke opponent for Pavlik half a decade before The Tomato Can Devourer signed to fight him. :qmeparto:

Golovkin got him out of there in far more impressive fashion than Pavlik, and Anthony Dirrell couldn't get him out at 168lbs,and Dirrell is known to be a pretty good supermiddle weight puncher. Im not sure who your talking about when you say, "they didn't exist" back then. I've been a boxing fan since before you were born, saw Hagler vs Hearns when it happend, Hearns vs Duran, I've been a fan through it all. I know quality. Golovkin and Canelo are up there with some of the best, no reason to down play these guys, they complement each other.

considering all that talk about " anyone from 154-168 "..... Golovkin is a underachiever

helluva fighter, but his career fell a little short

Yes, because it’s very fair to compare Pavlik’s performance against heavily overmatched Rubio in 2009 with The Tomato Can Devourer’s performance against him in 2014. At least it wasn’t considered Pavlik’s biggest win when it happened. :qmeparto: Again, I repeat, Rubio was considered a JOKE opponent for Pavlik in 2009. The Tomato Can Devourer fought him in 2014 and it was his biggest win at the time. Do you see through the twitter hypejob now?, or are you still drowned in an ocean of highlight videos of him devouring hopeless bums?.

A fan with a healthy state of mind that has been “through it all” won’t make such idiotic statements. Then again, your unstable mentality is the reason you’re a fan of the Tomato Can Devourer.

Don't be an idiot, nobody said Rubio was GGG'S best win, not even close. Joke or not, he gave Pavlik a decent fight. GGG crushed him. Also Rubio legitimately worked himself into the top 10 of the Ring magazine by the time he challenged GGG.

that's just a silly attempt at desperation.

Shadow first said it was close.... then canelo kicked his ass... Next thing you know, he'll say one could conceivably score it a shut out for Canelo. Hell.. he tried to say scoring the mayweather fight for canelo was not out of the realm of possibility.

Again you try to make the Rubio fight sound like a serious fight despite all the realities you were slapped with. Again, I repeat, Rubio was publicly considered a joke opponent for Pavlik HALF A DECADE before The Tomato Can Devourer fought him. If Rubio wasn’t his best win at the time, who else was?. Curtis Stevens?. :qmeparto: Even the most reasonable(3 only) fans of the Tomato Can Devourer admit that his resume is garbage with literally zero wins worth remembering him for. You can argue that Lemieux and Geale are ATG quality fights, but it’s only proving your alarming sings of mental illness.

His entire career/management was based on hyping him up on social media and taking zero risks in the ring. It paid off because he eventually managed to score two major paydays and still they were against a naturally smaller opponent. There’s nothing worth remembering him for.

He will always be remembered for 20 title defenses 18 by KO, scaring Canelo into giving up his belt, chasing Canelo around the Ring with Canelo red faced and running scared in fight #1 Adelaide Byrde saving the day with her ludicrous scoring, exposing Oscar's scheme. Then standing toe to toe with Canelo in there second fight rallying down the stretch to win the 2nd fight with ring side media scoring 42 for GGG, 15 EVEN, and 2 for Canelo. Only to have Oscar's judge guarantee come into play once again. And what ever he does with the rest of his career.

Yes, he will be remembered for begging smaller opponents for paydays.
