How would Floyd fare against all these fighters at different weight classes. I picked some fighters more than once because they are better in some of the higher weight classes & were fights I'd like to have seen Floyd in more than once. I also left out 147 & 154, as I felt Floyd was undersized in both divisions & would be at a huge disadvantage to a lot of the fighters there. Slow down lol, so many threads with different fighters and tons of fights in each one. I don’t have time to type that much.
I dislike the Hell out of Floyd, but still, ill give completely objective answers. Floyd beats everyone at 130. Floyd was the best junior lightweight theres ever been - ill give him that much. At 135, he loses to Duran and Whitaker - very confident of both those losses. He probably also loses to Chavez at 135, but I'm less confident in JCC than I am in Duran and Pea. Floyd also very likely loses to guys like Ike Williams and Carlos Ortiz at 135, but you didn't list them. At 140, he loses to Whitaker (already said that), and i think likely loses to Pryor - not certain of it. He might also lose to Benitez at 140, but Will might have been a lil too green for Floyd at 140. Benitez beats Floyd at 147-154. Floyd beats everyone else on these lists. Some questions are a joke. WTF are Lovemore Ndou, Broner, and Paulie M gonna do against Floyd? Lol.
I think Whitaker and Arguello might be potential losses but not guaranteed either. Lots of fighters listed there. Have to think about some of them
I would love NOTHING MORE than to say Arguello (a great man) would destroy that POS Floyd - but my brain says it wouldn't happen. Not a good style matchup for Alexis. Floyd would have boxed carefully to a decision.
Much as it pains me to admit it, all and all I would objectively say that Floyd was the third best fighter in the history of 130-140 - surpassed only by Duran and Whitaker.
You could have shortened your list, because some of the answers are painfully obvious. Khan, Broner, N'Dou, and Malignaggi haven't a snowball's chance in Hell against Floyd. Why even ask? Gamboa, Limon, they ain't got a prayer in Hell either.
I'd favor him over all of them. (But obviously he couldn't roll through that line up undefeated. Nobody could.)
Pryor is my favourite match up on the list a lot of close ones some 75-25 for me in the oppositions favour, good blend but a bit random and to me some seem a touch silly no offence!
