Reports of wilder - fury 3 abandoned

Don’t thing it’s that cut and dry with the contract. The fight can happen and both will still make millions but Wilder refuse the rematch cause he believe you can make millions more if there was a gate fee , that won’t fly in court. Wilder is refusing the rematch. There is no timeline on when people will be allowed to attend and on top of that they honestly think 20k fan are going to shell out the big bucks to see them fight?

I would favor Fury in court with this. Cause Wilder is refusing to fight and also trying to prevent Fury from earning a living.

 

Phil Kay is not a reliable source. Wilder had to reschedule by last Friday, there are no December dates open and it appears Wilder is injured anyway.

Bob Arum is no fool. Arum says Fury will be fighting a WBC ranked opponent on December 5 in the UK, I believe him.

 

I think team Wilder have tried to play for time, perhaps because of this bicep operation? They pushed the fight as late as possible and once its signed they then try and push it further.

I don't think any of them on the management side are fools. Haymon and Finkel aren't exactly new to the party. Phil Kay's piece sounded like he's got Shelley's side of the story them trying the legal route to keep Wilder in the game is pretty much what you'd expect?

 

If Wilder is planning on having the rubber match next year , he won't want Fury to have a training camp and a fight in Dec.

He knows his chances of winning get better the longer Fury is out of the ring. A fight in the downtime for Fury will keep him sharp and focused and Wilder knows it.

It would seem Wilder is trying to block Fury from having that fight.. Dirty tactics from Wider which is pretty sad after all the accusations of foul play he threw at Fury.

Hopefully Bob Arum gets Fury a fight in Dec cos this man needs to be active.
