    I beg to differ. Golota was ten times better than "Baby" Joe Mesi. We're talking a different league here. No way would Mesi have defeated the big Pole.

    That fight was highly entertaining!
    but not the best HW bout in my eyes.

    Good fighter but mentally weak. When oppenents where able to take his shots he would panic even if winning easily.

    I think he gets vastly overrated based on his two performances against Bows who I really believe was damaged goods in both of those bouts.
    I remember watching Golota literally bite an opponent who had staggered him BEFORE Golota even fought Bows so he was always like that.

    Good fighter with his mentality holding him back. lt feels like his dirty history prevented judges from wanting to give him the belt. He was on a redemption arc towards the end of his career lasting the distance and without fouling.

    He did make up with Bowe years on later.

    Golota was talented but even if he was wrapped tighter emotionally, mentally I don't think he beats Lewis who was putting it all together at that time.
