With Rivero training him, he was at his best, the high point of his career. Had that relationship continued, Oscar's ring IQ would have grown substantially. In interviews at the time, he often mentioned how Rivero was teaching him to think. Unfortunately for Oscar, the narrative at the time was that he was a huge puncher and should be knocking everyone out. Only Rivero really understood the fighter's actual gifts and detriments.
I don't think there's been a Super-Featherweight titlist who could beat him at that weight, personally. Well, they could - but I wouldn't pick them to, if you catch my drift. A lot of people go with Chavez at 130 against Floyd, but I'm not sure why. I've never rated Chavez as a Super-Featherweight anywhere near as highly as I rate him as a 135 or 140 pounder, and I think some of his performances at Super-Feather were a little laboured and less impressive, possibly due to him being tight at the weight (a couple ribs too many on show in some of his fights there). I think Mayweather beats Chavez more of than not at any weight, mind you, but I think Julio makes a better fist of it at 135 or 140.
In a trilogy, I'd have it 2-1 for Mayweather (130 FM, 135 JCC, 140 FM). That's just me. Although 140 could be a tight 50/50.
Loma, Benitez and Duran would hit Floyd the most, the others would all lose, Loma is better at setting up his shots than Floyd was as was Duran, Benitez might have beaten Floyd also.
Floyd would beat the **** outta Loma. I haven't defended Floyd Mayweather in 13 years, but ain't no way in Hell he's losing to tiny Loma. All the bull**** moves Loma pulls on slower fighters is gonna be VERY quickly exposed against a guy who matches him in athleticism and footwork, and is much bigger/stronger/more durable. Floyd would push Loma around like a child. He's so much stronger it's ridiculous.
True, but Floyd was no slouch in the offensive department at 130-140, in fact quite the opposite. He was something of a puncher back then & I feel he would beat Loma if they got in exchanges

Wrong. Lomachenko is mostly speed and flash and relies entirely on angles to "counter," because he seems to not be able to actually counterpunch, i.e., punch with his opponents or make them miss and make them pay in place. As soon as Lomachenko pivots to an angle off of his opponent's missed punch, all the opponent has to do is step and pivot into the area of the ring that Lomachenko just vacated and Lomachenko's opponent will thus will not be open anywhere for Lomachenko to land, thus completely nullifying Lomachenko's offense and making Lomachenko waste energy with all those flashy body movements of Lomachenko's. Lomachenko gets timed coming in too much because he never throws his jab stiff; he always doubles or triples it up as a speed jab, which means his opponents suffer little to nothing by risking eating those jabs in order to time and counter them. Mayweather would have iced him with pull counters, shoulder roll counters off Lomachenko's right hand, and uppercuts. If the fight were to have gone on in the inside, Mayweather would TKOed him. I would have picked Mayweather to KO Lomachenko.
