Formella is ranked higher, has fought better fighters, would be more of a statement if Benn beats him. What would beating Jenkins prove beyond what a fight with Formella would prove? Jenkins was made numerous offers which he accepted. Warren has turned these down. Benn shouldn't have to hold up his career because Warren is a spiteful little git.

Agree. I didn't say it was a smart step-up and I make Benn the underdog in this fight. However, anyone who claims he is ducking Jenkins by fighting Formella is simply hating on Benn. I like Benn's style of fighting but still think he is too unrefined to be taking on the likes of Formella.
His stock will go up more by fighting Formella, win or lose. Beard transplants, potentially multiple ones, aren't cheap, young Conor needs the P's.
I like Conor Benn because he's a rarity in modern boxing, a fighter who isn't afraid to get hit and as others have said is willing to take one to land one, if he had power like his old man he'd be world class but alas he doesn't really should consider going down to 140lb were he'd likely have enough pop to make an impact.
Lol his beard transplant was odd. Got nothing against people getting hair transplants or beard transplants, if it improves their confidence go for it. But he got a really strange coverage where he basically ended up with mutton chops. I've noticed he's just shaved it all off in his recent IG pics.
