I just started boxing and wanted to know the foods I should worship and avoid. I would appreciate some food recipes as well.

Balanced diet always important. Don't buy the "No/Low Carb" or "Low Fat" stuff.

There are a lot of things with a lot of fat which are super healthy and important in a diet.

I don't have any recipes for you but i give you some food in every department:

    Carbs:
    Rice
    Noodles
    Potatoes
    Lentils
    (Kidney) Beans
    Chickpeas
(last three also have a lot of Protein)
Fruits (Apples, Banana, Kiwi for example)

Try to eat most of them before the Workout and especially after.
A decent pre workout recipe is just some toast with Peanut butter and jam. OF course not 5-6 but 1 or 2 are fine like 1hr before the workout. Thats a good recipe. After the workout you can use a Banana to get some carbs in quickly. Like 1,5 hrs after your training you should eat a bigger meal with all kind of stuff (Carbs, Protein, Fat).

    Protein
    Meat
Fish (either low fat fish but do not forget the high fat fish to get some great fats)
Eggs (also a lot of good fats)

    Fats
Nuts (also a lot of good protein)
    Avocado
    Oil (Linseed, Olive for example)
    Fish

Don't forget the Vegetables. Eat a lot. Broccoli for example. Lettuce. I can also recommend Ginger. I know a lot of people don't like it but it's delicious if you put some small pieces in your Rice, Chicken, Avocado meal. I love cooking Rice with some vegetable dices to make it a bit more spicy and tasteful. Then cook some chicken, put some Spices into it and finally some Linseed oil and Avocado + the ginger pieces. Basic stuff but super delicious imo.

And of course...DRINK Water, Water, Water. I won't give you any recommendation but as you probably won't be able to drink a lot during the training session you should drink a lot afterwards and of course after waking up take two big glasses of water. The body needs to rehydrate after sleeping for 6-8 hrs.

First response is right: balance is a big thing.

I also believe in building in ‘cheat’ meals here and there, like one a week. Have a slice of cake or pie or a couple of cookies once in a while, or order a pizza. Not every meal, not every day, obviously, but having those built-in spots to relax on your diet just a bit makes it easier to stick to it.

I'm thinking of trying the Morgan Spurlock McDonald's diet, and bulking up to heavyweight. Shouldn't be too hard with my lifestyle.
