Great fight. Green was winning but then got cut and didnt handle it mentally. Fletcher, as usual showed heart and determination if little defense. Fletchers manager should have had him only fight a stiff as he waited for the now guaranteed title shot but boneheadily had him fight Scypion and blew the Hagler fight.
Boy I loved those days and following those fighters at their fights in AC. It seemed every week we were there for fights. The Animal was special though. Just waiting in the hotel arena waiting for him the excitement rose. You would sée a lot of the same people at these fights, so it was a lot like a party. Especially us Fletcher followers. You kind of lived vicariously wat c hing Frank% up close. Fletcher was the fighter who left it all in the ring. After watching the Green fight this morning, I watched Sabater. What a great exciting time going to watch this guy. I see myself and friends in the crowd and wish I was there again. Boxing today sucks! It is dead. Take me back to 70s thru to 84 and leave me there 4ever.
just finished Jackson and watching Singletary rd 6 now. Then I go to dvd and watch NeSmith and Silky and my need will be satiated. Great day.
Watching this stuff takes me back and I think how bad all the sports have become w/ their new "safe" (*****) rules that make me don't watch them. The mouthy me only athletes I despise and this whole immoral ****ed-up world. What a waste.
yes those were the days morlocks, alost every night and weekend u could watch great fights on regular tv, even the announcers were cool and they were just as excited. WTF happened?????
