I did not realize, until ESPN just now flashed it onscreen, that Lomachenko is the WBC "franchise" champion. And apparently Lomachenko petitioned for this status, and was granted it in October 2019, in lieu of honouring a mandatory defense against Devin Haney? What absolute utter bullsht. This past Monday, Mauricio Sulaiman himself confirmed that "Lomachenko is the WBC lightweight champion". Well, the WBC, ESPN, and the Lomachenko/Lopez winner can say it all they want, but the path to the undisputed world lightweight championship goes through Devin Haney, like it or not.

I don't know... it doesn't look too intriguing to me, plus I've heard it's gotten woke in it's second season, and while I don't usually let that affect me all that much as far as movies are concerned, but I don't like torturing myself when it's a TV show.

"The next one could be reeeeeeeally quick, so don't blink!"

Yeah, even though Bellows has never been stopped - hell, I'm not sure he was ever down? It frankly surprises me that Berlanga's team picked a tough, crafty, scrappy guy like him with the active streak on the line.

Ring announcer got that backwards. Should have introduced Berlanga "from San Juan, PR by way of the lower East side". He lives in NY currently. When you say "from/by way of" the second place is your relocation, the first your origin point.

If Oconner was a judge in this fight he would have already ruled it a KO.

Lets go Loma! There so much work to do even if he gets through Lopez. Hopefully we get a great fight tonight.

Round 1 Berlanga wins by KO1

That was unmitigated bull****. At least give the man a count. They had to protect the streak.

Loma-Lopez is gonna be like Duran-Moore. The bigger up-start against the greater but smaller veteran. Lopez is going to realize at some point, like Moore that he stepped up too soon. Hopefully Lopez doesn't get his career shortened in one night.

Berlanga-Bellows should be a good fight.

If Berlanga doesnt get rhe 1st round ko, I think he loses a decision. I’m very, very confident that is what will happen.

Bellows, easy UD over caveman, no skill, overrated power Berlanga.

They touch em up yet? Looking forward to this one.
