Actually just looked back from my RBR scoring and had Lopez taking the 7th too. I've been awake too long. 116-112 my final scorecard.
I thought it was 7-5 Lopez. I had him winning 6 of the first 7 rounds and winning the decisive 12th round clearly. Extremely wide scorecards but at least the right man won tonight.
Round 1 Lopez 10-9 Round 2 Lomachenko 10-9, close Round 3 Lopez 10-9 Round 4 Lopez 10-9 Round 5 Lopez 10-9 Round 6 Lomachenko 10-9, close Round 7 Lopez 10-9, close Round 8 Lomachenko 10-9, close Round 9 Lomachenko 10-9 Round 10 Lomachenko 10-9 Round 11 Lomachenko 10-9 Round 12 Lopez 10-9, close 114-114
Not kidding at all. And I watched the fight with the sound down, so not swayed by the TV hype, either. I actually had the same score as Ward, which shocks me. Although I don't think we agreed on the exact rounds. I had four close rounds ------> 2, 7, 9, 12. I gave two to each fighter, and if all were given to one fighter the best either fighter could have gotten was 8 rounds. That's how I saw it. And as I said above, Loma was more dominant in his half of the fight than Lopez was in his. At least in terms of landing hard, clean punches. I thought Lopez was going to go down in either the 8th or the 11th round. Credit to him, he weathered the storm. But he got battered some. Lopez is a great, great fighter. Incredible ability.
116-112 is fair. 115-113 is generous to Loma (but it can be argued). Anything wider than 116-112 is synonymous with "I've no idea how to score boxing, I just like big punches".
