I still can’t believe that a fighter that was deemed “too green” for Loma was able to far exceed everyone’s expectations. Now that we know that he has the athletic talents, explosive power, offense, and ring IQ to compete with even the best fighter what are some other aspects that you think Lopez should improve on going forward because I do think he still has much to improve on despite his big win over Loma. He has flaws that could be worked on. If he keeps improving the I can see him being a very hard fighter to beat. But we can only speculate.

I would love to see him use the jab more and also tighten up his defense. It seems like he can fade and gas late in the fight as well, which was why Loma was able to mount a comeback in the later rounds.

He needs to tighten up his defense and protect his chin better. A great Lightweight with power would have demolished him last night. Not hating, it's just the truth.

Pac would have massacred him. Same with Mosley and DLH. But if we are talking about guys on that level then he's obviously doing something right.

I thought his head movement in the second half of the fight was poor he was getting caught with the jab at will and they were hard shots that stopped him in his tracks.

Needs to work on his inside game a bit more how to counter on the inside . loma had success in the inside. Teo panicked at times.

Jab and head movement. His jab was awesome for the first 6 rounds, then he stopped using it as much, and consequently Loma was able to come on more and use his feint (which Lopez wasn't biting on before) to score.

Head movement needs to be worked on in case he gets into a similar situation again.

I think bring up his hands. He could have caught most of the head punches in the later rounds by just keeping his hands up.

Yeah, I don't feel his shoulder roll is a good investment, he just gets hit too much. Like Bradley said in the commentary, he could have avoided many of Loma's shots just by holding his hands high. His fire power is such that it's going to be hard for opponents to capitalise too much on it at 135, but I think he's going to be in for a rude awakening if he moves up a weight class or two. Guys like Spence and Crawford would have target practice.

His foot work was shockingly poor - compared to when he fought Loma. What he needs to change is his mindset. He went in there thinking he will blow away some skinny guy.

He beat a one armed Loma. That’s why he ducked a rematch. The Loma who destroyed Nakatani would have schooled Teo. Lopez got lucky Loma was too stubborn to delay the fight to get surgery. Healthy Loma beats him more soundly than he got beat up last night. All of this talk about what Teo didn’t do last night would be moot. Teo was overrated and got what he deserved last night. Respect for Kambosos for taking out the garbage.

I though Lopez going in did'nt respect Kambosos and thought he would just run through him. He spent a significant ammount of energy the first two rounds trying to take Kambosos out of there that when that did'nt happen, he lost some steam in some of those middle rounds that allowed Kambosos to be able to move and box more from a distance.
Anytime Lopez pressured with energy and got in close, he was clearly getting the better of Kambosos. So what he has to do is be fight more dicipline and give good fighters respect early.
Going in there and spending all that energy early brought Lopez' pace down a notch in the middle rounds and it cost him on the judges scorecards.

Stamina and ability to maintain intelligent footwork for 12 rounds which ties into his stamina issue. After 6 rounds he becomes bog standard in straight lines.

He should have tried to box Kambo long early off the jab instead of rushing at him

Get rid of his father for start and get himself a competent team to manage his career.
