Let's say you could create a parallel universe that you could change variables within while nothing that happens there changes the one we live in. If you could pick only one fighter or combat sports athlete from any sport to transition into mma, who would you choose? You could pick a boxer like Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran or Manny Pacquiao. You could pick a wrestler like Aleksandr Karelin or Cael Sanderson. You could pick a muay thai fighter like Samart Payakaroon or Saenchai. You could pick a kickboxer like Giorgio Petrosyan, or Buakaw Banchamek. Who would you be most intrigued to see how they would have done in MMA?

early brock lesnar 24 years old, kurt angle after olympics, Vasyl Lomachenko -currently, vitali kitchko during prime with mma training.

and lastly i'd pick myself, i would have been a wrecking ball.

Couple of top boxers Lomachenko who definitely would have had some success as would have klitschko with his amateur kickboxing.
Couple of those top thai fighters like saenchai and buakaw also would have been fun to watch

Wrestling is most of the time the most boring part of mma but it's hard to have any continued success in the sport without some kind of wrestling or bjj and would assume there is top boxers and kickboxers currently and in past, who had some kind of wrestling background.
So many of the best athtletes compete in multiple sports during college and high school especially america but mma misses out on most of the best athletes who ultimately chose other sports when going pro, who offer much more money, as well pensions and other benefits mma doesn't offer despite the sacrifices and long term injuries mma fighters incur

I was toying with you, I just think it`s too much of a jump going from boxing to MMA, hope Loma comes back strong.

    Karelin is a great call.

I'd have liked to have seen one of those crazy dynamic kickboxers like Andy Hug, too.

Andy Hug vs Royce Gracie would have been an incredible fight, or series of fights.

Royce Gracie beat opponents in the early UFC time caught up with him, the early UFC fights were rubbish, the sport has moved on vastly since Gracie, you need to be rounded now to be successful, he had no stand up skills, he was like Rousey, a one trick pony.
