So, we did a thread on the hardest pure punchers in MMA history. Let's do one on the hardest kickers in MMA history. What do you guys think of this list? Who else should be on it instead or who at least deserves a mention in this category? 1. Mirko Cro Cop 2. Anderson Silva 3. Jose Aldo 4. Anthony Pettis 5. Edson Barboza 6. Donald Cerrone 7. Israel Adesanya 8. Douglas Lima 9. Pedo Rizzo 10. Lyoto Machida (not sure if he should be on this list since most of his kick knockouts seemed to be a result of accuracy and technique as opposed to pure power but whatever) This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Right kick hospital left kick cemetery, it’s a pretty accurate description of the man imo. Not a pro fighter, but joe rogan would snap your average mans torso in half, the power he generates kicking a bag is unbelievable.
I was reading while back joe rogan beat Ngannous striking record with 1 of his kicks Seriously tho Cro Cop ,Machida and Manhoef where 1st who came to my mind with Manhoef maybe number 1 p4p best, with Aldo and Pettis in the lighter weights. Would be similar names in each but you could break down even further by who had hardest leg and head strikes. Sometimes goes unappreciated as most people prefer the head strikes KOs but nothing like watching somebody chopped down by vicious leg assault. eg Aldo vs Faber
Few surprise picks there,Barry for sure i agree is up there but not sure about RDA belonging in the top 10
Disagree. RDA started working with Evolve Thai guys and his kicks got up there with almost anyone. Some of the most authentic Thai style kicks in MMA This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Im pretty sure one of those kicks against Robbie tore his ACL too People here are mentioning guys like Anderson, Pettis and Lyoto but they never had close to the power of RDAs leg kicks. They were much more body and head kick fighters. We saw RDA VS Pettis. Look at both of their fights against Nate actually. And you cant use the "Pettis doesnt kick anymore" argument since he was throwing and landing a lot of good leg kicks against Wonderboy
Cannonier might get there in the future. His leg kicks looked brutal against Anderson and Hermannson Gaethje does it by accumulation so he prolly shouldnt be mentioned for just hardest but its up there for sure
The problem with these list is that its mostly for successful mma fighters in the ufc, but there have been harder kickers when it comes to k1 fighters trying mma. Jerome Le banner, Michael Mcdonald,Ray Sefo, Melvin Manhoef, Alistair Overeem, Semmy Schilt, Sam Greco, and cro cop etc , any k1 athlete hits way harder and more precise than their mma collogues. And lets face it, heavyweights kick harder than lighter weight classes .
Id assume this is a P4P list or else this list would be dominated by HWs. As hard as Barboza kicks he doesnt kick harder than Mark Hunt for instance. As far as your names only Manhoef should seriously be mentioned. Semmys leg kicks werent as effective in MMA. Neither were Reem's really
