Lopez “win” over lona is as invalid as lomas “win” over rigo. Leaving aside that Loma was robbed or at least has a case for being hard done by...anyway.....
These unequal size match fights are a bad thing...

Yet he went on to beat a better boxer in Thurman. Any more excuses?

Yeah, well... Loma lost to Teo, because Teo was massive, like Horn. it is what it is.

False equivalency here. A man in his prime vs a 40 year old. A drained down JWW vs a drained down JMW.

One in a 50/50 fight against the biggest puncher in the division, and the other against an average puncher who everyone saw as a cherry pick.

If a fighter is good enough to pick up the WBC, WBA, WBO titles in any weight class, you can't say he's "too small" when someone at that weight class beats him.

Loma was a lot bigger than Rigo, Lopez didn’t have that kind of size over him. 7 rounds without throwing a punch put him at a far worse disadvantage than being a bit lighter. Size didn’t factor in when we were all picking Loma to take him to school, and I honestly thought Lopez would be bigger.

Also seem to remember a lot of people insisting Lomas size wasn’t a factor against Rigo and he beat him purely on skill.

I'm sorry, but this is just complete and total bull**** that size doesnt matter. I love the fact that Lopez won, but size is the most important factor in the sport of boxing.
