Did Ring Rust Affect Lomachenko???

It’s not a fan saying it, Lopez like a good few on here have noticed a decline going back a few fights. Why would he admit that if it wasn’t the truth ? It’s taking credit away from his own performance

Canelo was out of the ring a year going into the Golovkin rematch. . So a Canelo coming off knee surgery and riddled in ring rust still backed up and beat GGG. . lol..

 

Definitely affected him more than Lopez, probably considerably more. However if you're Loma that still should be way more than enough to beat Lopez after all the talking by Loma how hes gonna punish Lopez

Yeah it's an excuse. Loma ball gobblers been making excuses for the impending L for the last few years. The guy is built like a tank, and 5'7. He is a lightweight.

 

Loma's movement looked poor. Some of that was Lopez, some of it was probably the weight, and some may have been ring rust. Don't know.

 

Not even a loma ball gobbler... I can't see how a person could look at him n Lopez next to each other in the ring and not think there's an obvious size disparity

 

A size Disparity was Rigo vs Donaire. Loma looked like he belonged in the ring with Lopez.

 

If only there were a way to compare the fighters’ weights before the fight to assure they’re on somewhat even terms. Like if there were a way to divide up weights into tiers or classifications or divisions or something like that.

 

i think youre onto something, sounds complicated and hard to understand, but im willing to do the work to understand it.

 

Right now it’s just a vague idea I’m playing with.

 

Loma just doesn't belong at 135. He's nothing special at this weight class.

People forget about a lot of things if it comes to Lomachenko and Lightweight. He beat Linares in a super close fight after getting dropped. He went the distance with Pedraza who isn't super skilled and lost 3-4 rounds. Pedraza is also a former 130er who moved up to get bigger fights (he admitted that in an interview). He also had some serious problems with the length of Campbell (scorecards were horrendous).

Lopez is young, skilled, hungry and ****ing big. He will fight at 140 and maybe 147 in the future and i don't think he's outmatched physically there.

I don't think Lopez is very skilled compared to Loma but if you're taking away the angles and the space, Loma hasn't the size and strength to compete with young guns like Lopez. Lopez had a perfect game plan and executed it perfectly as well.

People were a bit blind if it comes to Lomachenko and his achievements. Size matters in boxing. And if the size has a good game plan too, it can outclass skills. Super simple.
