Classless just like his punk father. This kid had a chance to show some class he just didn’t have it in him.

he left all the class in the ring, where his job description says it should be used.

Why should he say anything else? Loma moved and didn't engage much for half a fight. When Loma tried to use angles and footwork, Lopez usually matched it. All that matrix **** doesn't seem to work when you are fighting a guy with decent footwork and turning ability, who isn't a plodder, small, or an old man. Loma didn't show much boxing IQ in there either. He fought timid, and seemed intimidated by Lopez's power. He would have absolutely abused Lopez had he made it a phone booth fight. But again, that's boxing IQ.

This. Loma should’ve congratulated Lopez on his win. Storming out of the ring made Loma look like a sore loser. It’s not surprising that Lopez would make the comments that he did.

Kovalev didn’t agree with the first Ward decision, but still stayed in the ring and gave Ward his props.

I am now thinking about Teo Lopez vs Josh Taylor at 140. Should be a great match-up fight, shouldn't it? Teo might get his mouth shut over there.

i havent picked a winner in that one yet, thats how close i think that one would play out. if i was pushed to it, i would pick teo, as he is still sharpening his blade at this point, and i expect it to get a bit sharper.

Loma not getting vocal and calling for an immediate rematch says a lot...

Just watched the replay on ESPN with the benefit of sound and not having 10 beers in my system. What a strange fight.

I just don't know. I feel like nothing changes in a rematch. Lopez punches are just too damn powerful for this little guy. He pushed him back with a ramrod jab and monster body punching that reminded me of Clenelo v. Lara. His power punching to the head looked lethal even though he could never land it clean, but it was effective in keeping Loma gun-shy. Loma's never been pushed backwards before until now and that killed his magic.

Then....Loma looked like his old self in 7-12. He won 4-5 of those rounds. You could argue he won the 3rd like Andre Ward scored (but I personally don't think so), so a draw isn't crazy I guess, but does anyone really believe that fight deserved a draw?? Nobody besides Jose Pedraza evidently.

So, was it truly a matter of rust? A 14 month layoff for a 32yo man is much different than 10 months for a 23yo, especially considering their styles. Once the "rust" came off Loma looked to be grooving and seemed to have Lopez more hurt in spots during the 10th and 11th than Lopez had Loma hurt at any point in the first half of the fight. Could "rustless" Loma fight that fight for 12 rounds in a rematch and not get KO'd early? I kinda don't think so...

I'd definitely watch a rematch to find out the answer but Loma's silence speaks volumes about what he thinks of his chances.

Yep agreed. It would be close great fight but I think Lopez starches him as well.

Lopez could very well be a new beast at 140lbs.

Teo kinda has that victim mentality(for a lack of a better term). He demands respect from everyone, and he gets a lot of it, but acts as if the opposite were true. At the end of the post fight interview you can see how odd his mindset is.

And he doesn´t realize that talking trash before the fight and after the fight will put fans off. He then will translate this into people not giving him the respect he deserves.

He is on a damn fine roll, but I can´t root for him at all. His personality is so off putting.

Some of you dudes really do have a crush on Lomachenko. He's speaking his mind. He doesn't have to kiss Lomachenko's butt. Far worse has been said in post fight interviews.

Because even with all of his bluster and pomposity, there seems like an actual human being beneath al of that. Much of what he does is play up a character in public, but in real life, he seems like a caring and loyal guy, and a good father. I've yet to see anything about Lopez that tells me in private he's any different. Also... he tends to drop the act after they fight, he showed Breazeale and Ortiz nothing but respect after he KO'd them. Whereas Lopez remains a ****.

Lopez couldn't quite grasp the narrative of beating a legend to become a legend, instead he wants to beat a basic hype job to become a legend.

Funny how he had no idea what to do with that basic fighter when he decided to stop being a basic fighter in the later rounds. Maybe the fact that his head looks like it was stuffed into a beehive after those 4 paltry rounds has partially robbed him of those memories.

Also... is he saying that guy that decided to only fight six rounds of a fight, and almost managed to do enough to win a draw is basic? Well what the **** does that say about him?

I know, but that's why everyone loves those guys.
