He won't, he'll still start around the 3rd, then he'll do exactly what he did from the 8th to the 11th, without all the hard charging thoughtless risk taking in the 12th, which he did because he knew he needed a KO, and end up stopping Lopez around the 9th.
It's hard to say. I think Lopez is a favourite in the rematch but it really wouldn't surprise me if Lomachenko starts sooner and stops Teo.
Loma wins I feel if he starts a bit earlier. All credit to Lopez of course but wouldn’t call it a shutout by any means...
Lopez nullified Loma for 7 rounds, and had him hurt in the 12th the fight was too one sided to see a Loma win
Loma never starts out quickly so he would be in the hole for the first four rounds. Now if he starts throwing from the 5th round on we could have a full exciting fight. I think Lopez knows he can’t be hurt by Loma and if there is a next time Lopez goes for the KO.
It was no fluke, Lopez can win again. Loma did show that he is good enough to beat Lopez but I think Lopez can up his game too.
Loma really only fought four rounds, 8-11, and he was clearly depleted by the 12th. If he starts early he gets stopped around 9 or 10. Or maybe walks into that power in the fifth or sixth and KTFO even earlier.
I saw the 12th as him sprinting and emptying the gas tank to the finish line because he knew he might need to stop Lopez to win.
We can all say Loma only needs to box the way he did 7-11 but Lopez stepped it up in round 12, punching with Loma successfully. I can see Loma having chances to win, but wouldn't be surprised with the same result or Loma put on his backside
I don’t think Loma fought 3 minutes in a round. He could do that against lessers but not against a dangerous fighter like Lopez, especially one who was pounding the body so effectively. When he did make up his mind to fight, he still did so in spurts and flurries. By the end he seemed done.
