It’s not claiming when he has had the surgery. You sound bipolar.

"You know what a champion is? A champion is someone who's ready when the gong rings - not just before, not just after - but when it rings". Jack Dempsey

Lopez was that champion on the night.

I thought and wanted Loma to win but he didn't.

When that first round bell rings all deficits in training, any prefight injury, any mental frailties etc are not legit excuses or reasons for any negativity in performance, if the fighter is not fit to fight for any reason then don't fight, if boxer then fights and loses that is their issue and should not take anything away from their opponents win, the opponent can only beat the fighter who is in front of them on the night. whether fit or not.

I would bet my entire practice on him needing help and being in trouble.

Beyong all the pettiness, this may curtial his career.

This is the second surgery hes had on the same shoulder in a couple of years.

    Thats not good.

If he comes back ok, he needs to go back down to fighting at 130. The extra weights etc that he needs to do for 135 wont be helping him along with the inside holding and wrestling against bigger stronger guys.
Carrying a little less weight tends to be better for avoiding injuries too.

I always recommend people to strap up, the pull out method is too risky.

Going into the fight I was thinking, given how much naturally bigger and stronger Lopez was than him, that the only way Loma can hurt him and get him out of there would be if he went ham on him like he did on Pedraza in round 11. The reasoning behind it is if he can do that to a seriously tough SOB Pedraza (go watch Pedraza vs Twink if you doubt that) who was also much bigger than him then he should be able to do the same vs Lopez. It's not easy to defend against a ferocious relentless assault like that but even when Loma tried to let his hands go on him he didn't sustain it for very long and his combination punching form just wasn't the same.

thank you. its important to point out to youngsters how a man should behave in certain situations, some have never had the benefit of such schooling. the decision to go on with the fight is made voluntarily, and should be honored, since its your responsibility to be honest about your preparedness. you want to be tough and soldier on, then take the loss with that same toughness.
this kinda pisses me off really. nobody sticks to a code anymore. not saying loma or his team are behind this breach of trust, so i hope he comes out and says it wasnt an issue in the fight...even if it was. take responsibility now, as you did pre fight.

As much as it sucks, rarely are fighters 100% for fights, and they have to decide if they are healthy enough to compete or not. That's just part of the risk in boxing because at the end of the day they are going to have to live with did they do everything they could to ensure victory or not and live with the results. The fight happened, there is no turning back to the clock. The record books are always going to say what they say.
