Anyone remember Mitchell Smith?

Got way above his stations prior to the Jupp fight before getting embarrasingly humbled.... went off the radar after that.

However sad to hear about the demons he's faced so good luck to him for getting the gloves back on and trying to turn his life back around.

 

I believe he's got his pro license back now hasn't he?

He's still young enough to have a good career and he seems to have switched on which is good to see. Nothing worse then to see talent go to waste an nothing better thann seeing someone make the most also.

 

I’m sorry mate what do you class as a good career there is no chance he does anything of note I very much doubt he wins an area title , you can’t just come back to the professional ranks after doing drink and drugs for years and years and turn it back on . Good luck to him being in the sport will probably do him the world of good in his life to keep him focused and disciplined but he for me there is no chance he will be able to compete with the top twenty of which ever division he competes in

 

Were not talking about someone who's in his 30s here.

I don't see how his condition was much different to fury who got hugely out of shape, drinking and who also took drugs.

If he can get down to a reasonable weight and crack on then he could compete at British level don't you think?

It'll all depend how much effort he's going to put in and what weight he fights at.

 

It;s a shame he did not stick it out with Adam Booth.

Mitchell Smith, reminds me of Kevin Mitchell albeit at a lower level, extremely talented but talent without discipline and hard work gets you beat by the likes of George Jupp.

If he can get down to feather or super-featherweight, he could still have a very good career.
