I just watched the fight, and TBH, Lopez won the early rounds just by being more active, not because he necessarily did anything special.

Seriously, you are projecting and feel the need to comment and crap over every Loma thread. You’ve found your purpose in your sad pathetic life. I’m not the one crapping on every Loma thread like you are. You are somehow threatened and spewing nonsense like an immature little baby.

As unlikeable as you are, I only feel sympathy for you. Your life must be truly pathetic and these forums somehow give you false self worth. Good luck to you, you are going to need it.

oh, ok. so in your world, im projecting what i say you are, by picking loma to win and then expecting him to handle the loss like a man?
let me tell you whats going on outside of your safe space. there were hundreds of millions of dollars bet on this fight across the world. half the money was bet by loma fans. bets that wouldnt have been made had loma been up front about a recurring condition. but he chose to tell those trusting fans that he was in peak condition, so they bet. they put their hard earned money down to win 1/4 of what they were betting. thats how sure they were gonna get nomaschenko. instead of having any thought about them, he does the injury tour so he can sell another fight. and what do his battered housewives do to help him? everything they possibly can. but your broke ass dont have money to bet anyways, so **** them, cause this is about your feelings
that pretty much illustrates who is projecting what.

Thats not how I remember Canelo-Mayweather.
I have'nt watched a replay of that fight since it happened, but I do remember discussing it in this forum and having Mayweather sweeping the first 5 rounds as Canelo did virtually nothing being to cautious as every time Canelo tried leading, Mayweather was just to quick for him.
Canelo typically as he likes to do tried to box from center ring, but that just was'nt flying as Mayweather was to quick on the trigger.
The last 7 rounds for me were nip and tuck very close rounds because essentially with Mayweather's speed and quickness naturally dicipating as the fight went, Canelo was able to adapt to the speed and both box and take somewhat aggressive tactics against Mayweather who btw slowed his workrate the second half of the fight. There was a handful of non-eventful rounds where Mayweather just used leg work with little to know punching that I had no choice but to give to Canelo who was landing the occasional cleaner shot and backing Mayweather up.
When the fighter backing up does little to nothing as far as countering the aggression coming at him, I score for the aggressor.
Mayweather was aggressive with his hands in the first half, but was'nt in the second half.
Thats how I remember it. If I get some time in the coming days to rewatch it, I'll post back.

The first 6 rounds imo were non-competitive, thats 6 rounds for Lopez. Its how you score the next 6 that determines how wide a scorecard you have.
There was a Loma fan where I watched it and upon the 7th round ending, he argued with me about the scoring of that round. I'm usually the one guy in the room who has a scorecard and scores the fight. He was sitting right next to me dissapointed in Loma's non-performance through 6 rounds. He's looking at my score after every round and not a peep from him through the first 6.
The 7th round was the first round where you heard his cheers after some of Loma's punches from him. After the 7th I jot down 10-9 Lopez for the 7th, and he immediately objects, and I say to him, "Loma decided to begin to fight, he certainly did better in this round than the previous, but doing better does'nt mean he's banked the round. In a competitve round, Lopez did more which is why I have it 10-9 for him. I dont give pity rounds because a fighter did better than the previous rounds.
I misplaced my scorecard from that night, but from recollection I think I gave the 8th to Lopez as well and then proceeded to give rounds 9, 10, and 11, to Loma. It could have been the other way around where it was 8, 9, and 10, for Loma and then I gave the last two to Lopez.

I think it was the former though that I gave 9, 10, and 11, because I was thinking going into the last round that Lopez was unlikely to get a fair shake being that Loma was the favorite going in and the more popular fighter. I remember thinking that if Loma took the last round that they were likely going to rob Lopez.
As the scores were being read and the two wider scores were announced, I voiced in the room before the winner was announced, "how refreshing, legitimate honest scoring."
Anyone with a brain for scoring a boxing match knew that a wide score could only mean the fight was going to go for Lopez, as even the Loma fan I watched it with pointed that out before the winner was announced.

The best possible score for Loma would be 7-5 because you gave him the 7th and 8th for doing better than the previous rounds he clearly was not in. There is certainly no basis or possible way to give him more rounds.

Abel Sanchez just said a few hours ago that Canelo Alvarez to him was the best p4p fighter in the world today.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Loma that disrespected Papa Lopez first, by snubbing him when he went to shake hands. And if you watch after the fight, Lopez went into Loma's corner and Loma snubbed him too. I don't think Loma is the class act you think he is. Not to mention he fakes an injury instead of taking the L like a man.

And Loma had surgery for the non existent injury from a non existent surgeon too I guess ? Incidentally the same surgeon that operated on Pac after the IV gate fiasco? C'mon man get real Of the fighters mentioned here that faked an injury it was Floyd against Castillo 1

I don't believe it. I can't see Loma's team allowing him to fight Lopez with one arm. His team ensures Loma is prepared for all contingencies. They crafted his pro career with precision and have great foresight. Now, on the biggest fight of his career, against the biggest opponent , possibly most dangerous, they allowed him to fight with one arm? Doesn't add up. They can pay a doctor to write something on Twitter and post pics of his first surgery. Not difficult to do. I watched the fight 3 times, once in super slow motion and not once did I see Loma favor his right arm, wince or hold his arm in any way that suggests it was giving him issues.

No more outrageous than what happened with Wilder/Povetkin, or Margarito/Mosely.
