He could, but it's going to be tough. He is probably already past his peak and was just skilled enough to do everything he did. I think right now his legacy will be someone good enough to win championships in multiple weights, but didn't stay long enough in any to say he'd beat any of the ATGs in those weight classes. Maybe if he beats Lopez and beats the names there or goes down to 130 and unifies there. Plenty of good names he could still scalp though. Mayweather and Pacqiao were able to compete for a long time past their prime so Loma definitely could as well.

Saturday just showed how rare talents like Floyd and Manny are. They made fighting in multiple weight classes and beating bigger men look easy.

Getting there. Years of grind on the body. 32 years old. Shoulder surgery for THE JOINT. Won't drop down in weight again due to pride which is what he should do...

Blown out shoulder, soon the knee and ankles will follow, then he's off to a retirement home.

You hear the same rubbish after every fighter loses.

Pacquaio was shot back in 2012, 8 years later hes picked up 3 more titles and is currently a title holder beating a top ranked fighter in their prime.

Donaire was finished after Rigo, another one who has continued to win decent fights and still be relevant at top level years later, gave a P4P top 5 a real test and has a title fight upcoming.

I remember Mosley was wrote off before the Margo fight ans was meant to be shot then.

Hopkins was finished after Calzaghe and Pavlik was meant to be being fed a legend to make him v Calzaghe a mega fight. Obviously BHop went on for years.

Foreman and Holmes were fibished heavies hubting former glory in the 90s.

The list goes one. Idiots never learn.

The shine hasn’t been there for a few fights, probably since the shoulder surgery. An unbelievable talent Loma prime

Only problem is, he needs to beat all the guys you mentioned to become an ATG the likes if Mayweather or Pac. At 2 fights a year, he'll be 50 years old by the time he has that many fights and those guys will be long gone. I'll never understand why he turned pro so late and fought so little. He can still make a name for himself, he has ATG level skills, but don't know if his entire body of work justifies ATG status.

Well its depends on how long he fights till. Seems most top level boxers fight till late 30s/early 40s these days so could be plenty time left for him.

The fights are there, its up to him to see how far he can go.

Can Crawford and Spence and co be great because he's already way ahead of both of them?

Not without fighting each other. Or one of them goes up and fights and beats Charlo.

    spences best win is porter.

    crawfords is probably postol.

top wins but hardly worthy of greatness.

Even if they fought each other I wouldn't consider the winner close to being ''great.'' It might impress the casuals and many across the pond but not me. Spence has literally only fought two world class fighters his own size and he struggled against both despite one of them being damaged goods and nowhere near their best for a whole host of reasons. A natural 154 bashing up on career 140 pounder Paulie level featherfists who were or should've been 1-2 in their last 3 and blown up 135 pounders whose KO% above 135 = 0 doesn't impress me too much.

And Crawford bashing up C level non-punchers in his backyard he holds significant advantages in weight and reach over doesn't either. I really rate him but, as with Spence, let's see how hot they look when they're they ones giving away huge physical advantages against A and B level opponents at higher weights who can really bang.

Yeh they probably would have to go and hold the title for a good stretch fighting the top contenders afterwards. The criteria over there can be a bit low, very bias sometimes.

He can't go back to fighting the Crolla's, Pedraza's, Koasicha's, and Rodriguez's. He has to fight the fights. There are plenty of viable guys around 130, 135 for him to face. Berchelt, Davis, Haney, Russell Jr. and such.

His resume is poor. Outside or Russell Jr., he has no A level victories.
