Would Mike Tyson have been able to take Povetkin's power shots without getting knocked out?

I feel Tyson took Ruddock`s shots well so could probably have taken Pov`s shots pretty well, but was the shot Buster finished Tyson with as hard as Povetkin`s one punch KO`S? Could Tyson have taken Povetkin`s best shots better than he took that uppercut from Buster?

Tyson had a pretty good chin so let's say it's probable. You don't want to be taking too many though.

    Whyte couldn`t have taken Ruddock`s uppercut/hook.

I think so, but super-prime Tyson, meaning Berbick through Spinks, would not have been hit by them.

Povetkin is an excellent guy, Boxrec's #20 all-time heavy, and if he pulls some kind of rabbit out of a hat in the eleventh hour, maybe winning this new super-cruiser title, he will be remembered as an ATG himself. But Tyson was a legit top-ten guy.

Tyson wouldn't have even realized someone hit him then his pet tiger would have ate Povetkin for such disrespect.

That specific Buster is called “Tokyo Douglas” Rummy did a video on him. Google “How good was Tokyo Douglas.”

Tyson had taken sustained beating the whole fight before that shot landed, his stamina and punch resistance would naturally have been a lot lower at that point. Whereas Povetkin's shot came after he had been dropped twice.

Tyson did have a great chin and has never been knocked out cold like Whyte was.

It's one thing dominating and out jabbing a 5'10 220lb fighter when you are 6'4 230lbs, it's another when fighting 6'6 245lbs giants.

Tyson has a great chin, but he also had good movement in his prime so he be hard to hit flush often. I still don’t think anyone could stand still in front of Povetkin and allowed themselves to get too often without getting hurt though. You are still talking about one of the most powerful punches in this era.
