I'm interested in examples of the smaller, slower heavyweight winning the fight. There are a few but I think only a few. Let's say:

    15lbs smaller.
And both men have to be ranked by Ring or TBRB or there has to be a very good reason why not.

    What examples would you give?

And if there are as few as I think, would you agree that it's a hell of a brake on picking, say, Sonny Liston over Wladimir Klitschko?

EDIT: EXAMPLES OF SMALLER, SLOWER FIGHTERS BEATING BIGGER, FASTER MEN.

Frazier - Mathis is the first candidate that comes to mind.

    It's a tough one, but:

    Frazier Ali
    Marciano Walcott
    Holmes-Spinks maybe
Possibly Langford v Jeanette/Wills but it's not possible to verify this

Schmelling-Louis - I think Louis had faster hands but Schmelling timed Louis to perfection

Kind of. His best shot is taking PEDs and fighting the Wlad who lost to Brewster. I don't fancy a 210lb Liston against a 240lb Wlad.

Schmeling and Louis were the same weight.

    What is happening here?

Baer was smaller and slower than both Braddock and Carnera?

Is this question causing your minds to short circuit, every single answer has been atrocious

6lbs whopping weight advantage and I tend to think Louis was the naturally bigger stronger man. Schmelling's early career was at LHW

    Did Baer beat Braddock?

Baer was, in my eye at least, I assumed everyone's, quicker and bigger than Braddock, but smaller and slower than Carnera. He lost to one, and not the other.

I thought my answer was fine.
