Hearn trying to make this fight apparently.

Could be well wrong but Buatsi would be massively out of hos depth?

That said would certainly be watching.

I don't think he would be.

I like Johnson but he's still in the Gallagher mould, just he has very decent power like Callum Smith.

Johnson looks to be very physically strong, I'd actually like to see Buatsi backed up to see how he fights on the backfoot.

Johnson if he is in the same shape as he was for the Beterbiev + Monoghan fights, bombs Buatsi out by the 8th.

Buatsi eats right hands all night, and Johnson has a great right hand. He also has very good power.

It’s a good fight. There’s a lot of questions about Buatsi even before his last outing. I’m hoping he’s one of these fighters who fights to the level of his opponent and really puts on a show against Callum Johnson - who’s no mug at all. Good fight - !!!! IF !!!! It happens.

Johnson knocks him out. No way will Hearn make this anytime soon.

A fight to get very excited about. It will take a huge amount of money to make it though. Callum would start as favourite but Buatsi is a very dangerous fellow.
Great match up for the fans.

I’m not sure on Buatsi anymore.

I jumped on the wagon after the win at the Olympics and he was showing a lot of promise as a pro. After he beat Averlant this time 2 years ago, Hearn was talking of him fighting Mikhalkin. Instead since then he’s beaten conroy for the British title and then vacated to fight two blown up super middleweights in periban and ford and just struggled with ranked 200th in the world Calic.

I would have had him win the Lonsdale belt outright against the likes of spider Richards and pitters and then challenged Boesel for the ebu.

Yep, he talks about it all the time but it is too risky for Buatsi. I think Johnson is too powerful and would KO him.

I’m in majority here, I think Johnson beats him right now. I’m not giving up on Buatsi, I think he’s getting compared to Bivol, Beterbiev and Gvozdyk who were all world class with few fights.

Buatsi has work to do but I think he’ll get there, he’s just too green for the best right now.

    Johnson for me

I think Johnson can only win this early in the first 5 rounds , then Bustsi takes over for me

I might be in the minority, but I have no doubt that Buatsi would beat Callum Johnson.

Buatsi is the more talented fighter, he can go through the gears when he needs to and will weather a storm but take Johnson out towards the later part of the fight. Johnson has had 3 fights in 3 years, and he's 36 next year! He's strong and can punch but looks one dimensional, one paced and over reliant on his power. When he's up against a very heavy handed opponent (which Buatsi undoubtedly is) who has better shot selection and can box on the back foot when needed plus better overall stamina he will struggle and will lose.

That's if/when the fight happens of course, which at the moment does not look too likely...

Let's be honest, he's more likely to face Reynold Quinlan again than step up and face Johnson.
