Could Povetkin have beaten Tubbs, Biggs, Bruno, Williams taking those four fighters at the ages they were when Tyson defeated them? I feel Povetkin could have beaten all four of them in his prime or at the age he is now, but someone made a case for Tyson beating Povetkin the same way he beat these fighters, which one of us is right?
Tubbs was too fat, so Povetkin would stop him Williams was too open for lefts, Pov stops him Bruno would gas out, Pov stops him Biggs was a drug addict, lacked real firepower, and just never developed. He had a lot of talent but he wasn't exactly Ali in terms of foot movement and he held his hands too low. A lot of potential but unfulfilled. Pov stops or decisions him I am not convinced Pov beats Tucker. A properly motivated Pinklon would likely outpoint him. However, out of the 4 guys you mentioned, Pov would be favoured.
I think he beats all of them, but not with advertsity. Can definitely see Bruno hurting and/or dropping him. Tubbs potentially could outbox him to a decision.
He's proven himself much more consistent and durable. I think he's a standout titlist in the 80s until Tyson takes him out.
Bruno sparks him out early.Williams jabs his head off and stops him late barring a sucker punch .Tubbs Slaps him silly. He could beat Biggs late
Biggs wouldn`t beat him fighting on the inside like he did in the second round v Tyson and he looked awful losing to Spoon.
Yeah I like povetkin against all those guys except maybe pinky thomas. He's physically past prime now but in terms of traditional boxing craft I think povetkin is second to none in the division and he's never lost to anyone shorter than 6'6". But considering Pinky had already lost a step due to drug use when he fought Tyson yeah I like povetkin against all those guys at the time they fought Tyson.
Fairly easily. The only one of them that might have troubled him a bit was Tubbs, with that rapier-like jab.
