Not at all I just give my personal opinion of him I have no respect for him whatsoever To me he's just a cowardly Ped's abuser who happens to be a clever boxer too. Shame he couldnt achieve his notoriety without the cheating
but you've said this dozens of times. saying it repeatedly isn't going to change how others see him. you're literally repeating yourself over and over in the hope that everyone starts to think how you think. does that seem reasonable to you?
In my lifetime there’s only one answer and it’s Ali, no one comes close. In his prime he was the most famous person in the world and mobbed everywhere he went from the USA to China. For actual presence at fights then it’s Hatton and once again I don’t think it’s close. I’m not aware of any fighter who’s fans would travel so far and take over Vegas like that. Having said that 90% of them were casuals and their total knowledge of boxing could be written down on the back of a postage stamp. I mean they actually thought Ricky was going to beat Mayweather.
some people can't get past their allegiances, based on the piece of soil that they (and the fighter) came from. nothing wrong with supporting homegrown fighters, but it's another thing to do it at the expense of objectivity.
GGG for me. If the opponent boxes, they run. If he boxes, his jab was a masterclass. One rule for him and another for everyone else
I couldn’t agree more pal. Although I like the Brits to do well I’m a boxing fan first and fore most. Basically I love them all!
Love him or hate him they all paid to watch him that’s the bottom line and the figures don’t lie. Those who loved him loved and those who hated him loved to hate him but the end result was the same.
Nah, Pacquiao is a huge star. Back when I was in school people would talk about him, he was Lebron/Phelps status at least in the third world country where I live. When I moved last year the guy of the moving truck asked me if I saw the Thurman fight and he didn't even knew I was into boxing.
Yeah man, the Brits and Irish are passionate fight fans. Shame we have all boxing events suspended in ireland for years cos I'd be contributing to one of those awesome crowds if that weren't the case.
Well my lifetime is longer than most of yours. I'd say Ali, Azumah Nelson, Amir Khan, Julio Caesar Chavez (SENIOR!), and Manny Pacquio. I don't think Floyd was all that popular, certainly did not have a worldwide fan base like Ali, or an entire nation like JCC, Nelson or Manny.
