Who do you think won this fight? Don't start ducking my questions too. Tiberi in the eyes of any honest boxing fan was the winner.

To be absolutely frank, the Toney-Tiberi stuff is way, way overstated. My final card read 115-112 Tiberi. Tiberi deserved it, but two judges disagreeing with me on two rounds is absolutely within the margin of error, and I even have a round for you: the fifth, which I scored for Tiberi but could easily have gone either way. Here's my card for anyone that wants to dispute it.

In detail.

TONEY:1,4,6*,7.
TIBERI:2,3,5,8,9,10,11,12

* Tiberi has a point deducted for a low blow.

Flip the fifth and there is one point between them.

This is what you had to say on this fight before:

" A handful of successful defenses followed including two against the superb Mike McCallum (a draw and a split decision win), the only slip being a gift decision over the workmanlike Dave Tiberi who found the machinations of world-title boxing so unfathomable he quit. "

http://archive.boxing.media/the_100_greatest_fighters_of_all_time_part_one_100_91.html

A gift decision is correct. Agree with you there. On your official card, you had it Tiberi 8 rounds to 4. I can not recall if the low blow was worth a point dedication from Tiberi or not, but I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can flip one of the 4 rounds Toney won to Tiberi too.

Either way Toney has an embarrassing loss, and to prevent the excuse birds from jumping out of their trees, Tiberi had little time to prespere for this one.

I find the McCallum card of one of the judges to be of the fixing variety, giving Toney all three of the last rounds ( I dolt think he won round 11 ) and a 10-8 final round with no knockdowns, just so Toney could be the " winner " on his card.

Toney was also very close with Johnson.

Yeah, he was the loser, but in the end his gift was within the margin of error.

People behave though like it is crazy, like some absurd robbery occurred. It didn't, not really, certainly absolutely nothing like Ritson-Vazquez from this month for example. But people - you - behave like it's the worst decision they've ever seen, although we all know you haven't actually bothered to score it.

2 rounds - margin of error. No robbery.

It's considered one of the worst robbers of all time. No the gift was not withing the main of error, rather is coming from a person who wants to say what if he won this round, that door swings both ways. Tiberi landed 170 more punches. He earned it. I say he won by at least three rounds.

Look you called it a gift decision. You were right the first time. Why make up fluff now?

Judge Frank Brunette correctly scored the fight 117-111 for Tiberi, but he was overruled by judges Frank Garza and Bill Lerch, who has identical 115-112 scores for Toney. 115-112 is B()ll &hit

A later investigation revealed that the two judges who scored the fight for Toney weren't licensed to judge fights in New Jersey. FIX, FIX, FIX

Tiberi couldn't punch and had a very inflated type of record. He was brought in there to lose, the judges if you can call them that fixed it when Toney lost. This decision stinks to this day.

Even Toney admits he lost to TIberi.
Although he thinks that maybe that gift balances out by having lost some other decisions that possibly he should have won.

If I say Tiberi by a even bigger margin your not changing your card.

To save us time, I'm willing to score round 4 with you as I think Tiberi won that one.

If you want to score round four, let's do it and be honest if you think you made a mistake. Deal?

Some additional information:

On the low blow point taken I do not recall Toney down from it. Watching round 6 now, Toney landed some below the belt line too I don't see where it happened. Tiberi in Toney's grill forcing the action, maybe that's a reason why Toney didn't look so good..

Can I see your scorecard?

If you've scored the fight Mendoza, share your scorecard, it's a very reasonable request.

If you haven't, just admit it, and we'll move on.

If you are literally scoring it as we speak, just say that.

To be clear, EVERYBODY agrees this is the case.

What is being disputed is the degree.

I saw this fight when it happened, my reaction was BS decision. Honest.

No I'm not scoring it now, I just wanted to see if there was appoint taken from a clear low blow. Didn't see it any punch worth that

Are you willing to score round 4 with me? I think you are off on that round, 2nd time asking.....

OK, so you HAVEN'T scored the fight, and it's "FIX FIX FIX".

That's really pitiful. That's genuinely disrespectful. It's ok to carry the majority with you when you hold it as a loose opinion, but as soon as you start barking about cheating, you need to pay the respect to both fighters of appraising the contest.

I don't expect you to do it honestly, frankly, but it's the absolute minimum that is acceptable to me in discussion with someone on a given fight.

No. Not only will I not "score round 4" with you, I will not discuss this fight further with you until you have produced a scorecard, at the very least. I understand it will be biased, but you need to do it anyway to have any further discussion with me on this fight.

You could be bang up about round 4 but Toney could win rounds 9,10,11 and 12 in your opinion. What on earth is the point of "scoring round 4".
