I've not seen it but Hearn was saying Gallagher implied sky and matchroom were racist cos Jonas didn't get the harper rematch.

He said Gallagher has told Sky he will apologise.

Also mentioned that Gallagher was saying fighters were getting stiffed for money as sky had cut the budget for boxing.

Hearn saying he won't work with Gallagher again until he gets an apology. Claimed Gallagher is extremely difficult to work with and his fighters get good offers but Gallagher stops them accepting the fights.

Hearn really stuck the boot in regarding Dominic ingle. Saying Brook didn't want to pay him.

I hate to say this, it actually pains me because I'm very Anti Hearn right now but I am on Hearns side here.

The thing is Hearn wouldn't have said anything if Brook never spoke on it. Interesting that Hearn said that isn't Brook talking but he was told to say all that by others.

    Yeah true, but even so..

Brook seems to have forgotten Hearn has taken him from small shows to a world title, multi millions, a PPV headliner and got him huge fights.. what else can a promoter do for you?

Brook goes off and makes a deal, fine, no problem, all cool, then turns around and wants somebody he has basically blanked to throw him a purse top up.

It's just so delusional, especially in the current pandemic circumstances, Brook wanted a cash out, he wanted Khan, it didn't happen, he has hung around and got a big fight with Crawford, Brook probably thought this would be huge money, maybe a PPV fight and he would get another Multi Million payday.

It isn't really Hearns fault or problem this hasn't worked out well for Brook, it's Brooks fault and Brooks problem.

Even if he was still with matchroom I don't think sky would have done a PPV at 4am for this fight.

Spot on, no way this could have been PPV in the U.K.

Brook isn't that relevant any longer, he isn't a Welterweight and hasn't been for a long time, so he will be drained, has openly wanted a cash out.. why would Sky even air it?

The bookies have Crawford 1/14, this isn't competitive on paper and it isn't competitive on recent form, it just isn't worth the time, money and effort putting it on regular Sky Sports.

I wouldn’t be surprised if either party was lying about what they’ve said and I’m not interested.

What I do know, the fight 100% isn’t PPV. As a poster above has pointed out, Crawford is 1/14 with the bookmakers - nobody is fooled by Brook.

Eddie's gonna get lamped one of these days. He doesn't have the pull of a Dana white to be acting like a hard man

It's a weird world where the majority of so called boxing fans here will support a promotor who does nothing but profit on a fighters blood sweat and tears over the fighter themselves. Eddie Hearns basically took credit for Brooks whole career in the interview saying he would be nothing without him. If you don't see a problem with this you probably better off watching Eastenders.

I understand what you're saying, but this situation with Brook isn't exactly a Don King story.

Hearn took Brook who was highly rated but unknown to the general public and certainly wasn't a PPV fighter and took him to a world title, made him Multi milllions, got him big fights, what else could Hearn have done?

There hasn't been a problem until Brook has an interview and basically calls Hearn disloyal for not getting a fight he went off on his own and made put on Sky.

Hearn doesn't own Sky, he doesn't decide what Sky buys or don't buy really, well, he has a say because he has an exclusive deal but he can't tell Sky to show the Brook fight, that decision is more on Adam Smith than Hearn.

So for Brook to come out and start having a pop at Hearn about not being shown on Sky is a little silly and a little disrespectful.

Let's remember he sacked off Ingle, he sacked off Hearn and went and made his own, then complains Hearn and Sky are not topping up his purse.

It's arrogant and delusional from Brook and ungrateful.

    Just watched Joe Gallagher's interview. Whilst I don't like the man, he made some valid points;
    • Says a lot that he hasn't heard directly from Sky that they've cut the budget, it's just Eddie saying it. He says no other sports have taken pay cuts and boxing can still offer PPVs.
    • Argued that Sky are favouring Buatsi to Callum Johnson, who he says wants to box for titles again now rather than the up and comers. Can't understand why no one is talking about him.
    • Saying that Tasha Jonas is being told you can box on Sky this year but its **** money, if not willing to take its next year.
    • Says they are pushing this mental health positivity, but treating certain fighters like ****.
Interesting watch and he makes some good points, though does come across as though its all about him again. Not seen Hearns reply if anyone could link it?

Gallagher's interview was almost a complete whinge. On Natasha Jonas he kept making the point that she was a single parent 36 year old as though Sky is a charity, then he played the race card, followed quickly by the mental health card. His main rant was that Sky were favouring Buatsi over Callum Johnson which made a mockery of his race argument.

Nailed it.The petty fanboyism of the psychopatic Smith and his "our world champions....our welterweight division....the stupid low rent lowlife ringside set and show where he hosted SRL " was always going to lead to the death of the sport of boxing...even as casual one off Hearn events which consists,of 3-4 fighters including the 2020 version of Adilson Rodriguez, flourished and made Hearn rich.
