Nope, Canelo. Inoue just hits harder. Canelo has great power to the body and is much more skilled at landing on it. To be fair, though, Inoue is much less experienced.
Last time I saw the Thai fighter who got knocked out in round 1 by Josh Taylor's body punch. It was so embarrassing. I expected to watch a good fun fight, but Khongsong disappointed me a lot. He just took a body punch and then game over. **** off! Didn't he know that Josh is the body puncher?
Where does this myth that Canelo is the deadliest body puncher come from? Liam Smith? Rocky Fielding? You gotta be kidding me. Derevyanchenko is a better body puncher given he actually hurt GGG to the body and even Charlo. Inoue knocked out Narváez in the second round with a single well placed body shot, a man who had 28 successive title defences in two weight classes at that point and has never been stopped, having faced Donaire, Orucuta and such.
I was talking about Canelo's skill landing to the body, not power. But Canelo is already very powerful to the body. Canelo destroyed Golovkin's body for Derevyanchenko to exploit. He's not the deadliest, but he's still deadly, and he's the most skilled there.
Inoue vs Rungvisai. It ain't gonna happen, they're not the same weight, but it's two of the top three best body Punchers in the sport, and it's literally just three pounds separating them. Rungvisai is bigger on fight night than Inoue is FFS.
That is the biggest load of bollocks I've ever read. You don't destroy someone's body having not visibly hurt them once to it and to then claim it can effect GGG over a year later? You're ****ing nuts man. Canelo throws a nice body shot but I don't see how he's much more skilled than anyone at landing it. He's a good body puncher but hardly the best, not even close. GGG demonstrated better body work when he's used it. You're a perfect example of how Canelo fanboys overrate any simple ability he has that isn't even that exceptional.
You don't know what you're talking about. Canelo clearly hurt GGG several times to the body in both fights so clearly you'd have to be blind or Kazakh to not see it. Shots like that can cause permanent damage to the body; do you seriously think permanent damage in boxing can be done only to the brain? Get real. GGG is a crap body puncher skill-wise compared to Canelo. Against Canelo and Jacobs, the only two elite fighters GGG ever fought, he couldn't land more than a few body shots. GGG also has crap defense and can't land to the body without getting hit (hence why he was so scared to throw them against Jacobs and Canelo). Canelo displayed effective body punching against numerous good to elite fighters such as prime Trout, Lara at times, GGG twice, Kovalev (shot but still good), and Jacobs. Canelo is very good at throwing the tap hook to the head and then finishing with a hook to the liver side of the body. He also has a neat technique where he'll stand in a square stance, put his right hand out as if to parry a jab, and at the same time put his weight on his front foot, thus leaving the right side of his head wide open, and his opponent will fall for the bait and try to hit Canelo with a left hook to the head only for Canelo to naturally bring his right hand up to block the hook via simultaneously rotating his body (and head with it) to lessen the impact of the block, while also using the body rotation and weight that was on the front foot, to throw the left hook to the liver or left uppercut to the liver as a simultaneous counter. Very few in boxing today use the tap hook technique, and NO ONE in boxing today uses the second technique I mentioned. Therefore, Canelo is by definition exceptional. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. I bet you believe Lomachenko invented the angles he uses or that the high guard is the pinnacle of all defense. Uneducated!
He's a good body puncher. Just because he doesn't end fights with body shots all the time doesn't mean they are not a big part of his arsenal that slow fighters down and win him fights.
