You guys are all falling for it again. Fury comes out with two guys to choose from. Takam and Kabayel. One is 39 and shot, the other is younger and undefeated, even though he is the lowest ranked guy in the top 15 of the WBC. Having Takam as one of the possible choices, makes Kabayel look like an ok choice, which he isn't, he's got no business fighting for a title. Fury is a con man and once again you are all going for it

The problem with that theory is that most of us were saying Kabayel is "okay" long before Takam's name was ever even brought up.

You keep saying "the lowest ranked guy in the top 15 of the WBC" .... as if the order of the WBC rankings must be an accurate representation of their abilities.
No one thinks Kabayel is a great challenger at all but he's better than a few of those names ahead of him in the WBC, for sure.
It's not a good fight but what do you want us to do about it ?
You're the same guy who said Fury would never fight Wilder, twice.

Wilder fought bums and was praised for it. Fury fights bums and is praised for it. What do I want you to do? Call them out for fighting bums and make them fight the best out there. Like champions are supposed to do. And stop praising Fury when he is clearly avoiding good fights. Again, he has fought 2 guys in the top 30 so far and one of them is Chisora who has 9 losses or so

I’d be the first to slaughter Fury if this was a random cherry pick. But, in view of Wilder 3 falling through late, the COVID situation, no crowds, travel restrictions and promotional ties being a factor, Kabayel is a respectable replacement. Takam no way, that would be taking the ****.

This is nonsense. There is nothing wrong with a voluntary defence against Kabayel.

I think we would all have gone for Hunter or maybe Rivas in a perfect world, but it isn’t and in the circumstances I will take this fight.

No one here praised Wilder for fighting bums.

Fury has only been praised for beating Wlad and Wilder.

I'd rather Fury fight someone like Kabayel than not fight at all.
    Same with Joshua and Pulev.
They are poor fights, and not worth the PPV, but are better than staying inactive.

Michael Hunter was the best choice on paper, but let's be honest, that's not a great fight either.
A 6'2 blown up cruiserweight, yeah, I'm sure all these Fury critics would give Fury credit for that.

He only went where the Matchroom Heavyweights did not dare to go in his last 2 fights and fought Wilder twice in the USA.

As Snr once said 'Boxthing is a brutal bizthness'

It is an OK choice. Nothing better than ‘ok’ but it’s still OK. It was Wilder that pulled out of the fight here, not Fury. So his voluntary options are basically Hunter or Kabayel realistically. I love Hunter, I’d prefer that fight of that two, but I think he poses as little threat to Fury as Kabayel does realistically, so Kabayel remains an OK option. He hasn’t done much since beating Chisora, though that’s still more than plenty of others have done in the division. He hasn’t managed to lose yet either. I’m happy for him to get a shot. No one here is praising Fury for this fight. But there is a lot of ‘ok, that’s fine if we get AJ next’. Which is acceptable enough

Fury needs a fight and pretty much everyone is tied up. Hardly like he is ducking wilder.

Well Hunter has been asking for the fight and clearly the best avaible opponent.

I'd be happy enough with Kabayel or Takam as opponent as long as we on for AJ vs Fury next year (if both win their next fights of course). Just please no Ajagba or Wilder.

If anybody follows Tyson Fury via Facebook you'll have noticed the volume of selling he has been doing re: signed photos, apparel, framed photos, gloves, face masks and all sorts of accessories in addition to his affiliate marketing of those fancy shirts he wears. Spamming like crazy.

£80 for a signed photo. Preaching mental health awareness via his apparel endorsement posts, a bit smarmy. He is my favourite boxer, but my goodness he has changed. He's become everything he used to slander.

Didn't Anthony Joshua face Dominic Breazeale and Eric Molina as voluntaries?

LOL Did he shag your wife, or something? He was on the comeback after multiple years out of the ring for the first two and we kept hearing from people like you that he wasn't a belt holder and wasn't even a top 5 fighter for the following 2.

You're conveniently missing out that he travelled to Wladimir Klitschko's boxing home to take his titles, after calling him out for years, took Dereck Chisora's 0 aged 22, had been scheduled to box David Haye prior to David Haye pulling out late on twice aged 24 and has fought Deontay Wilder twice in America, once completely nowhere near his best. He has always been up for big fights.

Anthony Joshua has had one 50-50 fight in his entire career, against Tyson Fury's sloppy, inactive and old seconds.
