A day shy of 3 months; how's that for turnaround? :deal:

Wembley Arena - with no crowd. WBC interim heavyweight title at stake, 1st defense of Povetkin. Chris Billam-Smith vs. Deion Jumah and Conor Nigel Benn vs. Sebastian Formella in support.

Food for thought: even if you thought Whyte was winning every round in August, twelve rounds is a LONG time for a lethal sniper like Sasha to find another shot like that against somebody that isn't exactly Pernell Whitaker writ large. Particularly since it only took him 5 rounds last time.

That said, Pov had been down twice himself and is now 41, accumulating gloved wear and tear for 46% of his time on this Earth.

Pov's legs are gone. Whyte will fight more patiently and get a stoppage.

That's how I see it too....Sasha is getting too old for this. He landed the perfect shot last time and it would have been a high note to end his career....but for some reason he wants to go out on a stretcher

I voted Sasha not because I think he'll win with confidence, but I merely hope he does. I like old guys schooling the young guns on how the game really works.

Shameful that Sacha has to fight again after winning the ELIMINATOR. But I have beat that dead horse plenty since the fight happened.

In my eyes Whyte enters this fight rattled from the first and tentative. Defense better be #1 priority in his camp this time, but I don't think he has it in him to stick to the plan and execute effective defense against Povetkin for 12 rounds. I think he gets stopped, especially if he wears that "Maximum Violence" vest again.

    My dick is rock hard

Whyte will finish the job this time. Now is not the time for fear, that comes later...against Fury

If Povetkin won here he should really retire off it...but he will trounce on and get brutally stopped for a few paydays.

Povetkin feints with a left uppercut and nails him with an overhand right.

"Down goes Whyte! Down goes Whyte!"

I don’t see whyte having a good enough jab to keep Povetkin on the end of it for 12 rounds, plus he likes a swing up too much!

povetkin via stoppage again maybe even earlier this time.

    billam smith wins well
formella runs rings around Benn surely

...runs ring around as in, outboxes him, or loses a wide UD being negative?

I think its bull**** that Povetkin has to have a rematch, but My pick is going for Whyte this one.
Whyte had him down twice fairly easily, and I don't think he'll make the mistake of not finishing the fight earlier before Povetkin can get composed and warmed up.
I'd love Povetkin to win by KO but I don't think it'll happen twice.

Though I called the first fight correctly, Povetkin’s decline is quite evident. Having said that, Whyte will be more cautious, which will likely encourage Povetkin on, who will find his angles again.

I principle I agree with you guys. But the thing is, Povetkin likes it. He's making good money despite the Covid, he won the fist handily, and there is a path to another title shot. He has publicly said that he wants the second match-up.

I think if he wins, he should petition to fight for the new super-cruiser belt, as Fury will be booked at least through next year with Joshua. Povetkin can finish out his career a champ.
