Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk vs. Dereck Chisora & Lee Selby vs. George Kambosos Jnr. RBR.

I gave Chisora 3 rounds through sheer pressure whilst Usyk was downloading the info. Was surprised he went southpaw and actually did well with that spell, fair play.

I thought Usyk showed too much self preservation, and could have stopped Chisora if he’d just put the foot on the gas. Chisora was done and dusted by round 8 imo.

It’s clear that Usyk isn’t bingo’ing anyone in the first 3 rounds of a fight but let’s be honest, not many heavyweights can. He makes his opponents work very hard with his feints and footwork and can get the stoppage by having his opponents exhausted. There’s a life span on that style though and I don’t think Usyk has many fights left where he can fight like that. Looks to have slowed up already.

He always fights at a conservative pace. He gassed badly in the first Fury fight, despite the slow pace.
And against Duhaupas and Molina he also struggled.

It´s because of how he fights. He is always tense but more importantly, he keeps loading up that right hand. Imagine just lightly working the bad; then imagine throwing single right hand bombs in intervals. It´s a lot easier to keep that light work rate.

I really don’t see the issue. Chisora is a tough out. Usyk played it safe. He hurt Chisora several times and won a clear decision.

 

If anyone looked like the puncher in there it was Usyk. Chisora was loading up on every punch and swinging from the hips lol.

If Judges are fair he has a 50/50 chance with Joshua imo, but with Fury I give him very close to no chance.

Usyk, is basically this eras Chris Byrd in a way, he'll box circles around people but he can't crack and egg.. I think that fight will have done him the world of good though too, don't forget he's been inactive & injured.. for only his second opponent at HW that's a solid win.. it went pretty much as I expected…Chisora was game but he was outclassed and outmanoeuvred.. I can't believe he thinks he won that lol.. btw fk Boris Johnson! lol
