Oleksandr Usyk vs Andy Ruiz

Ruiz has good handspeed, but he's more flat footed and has a shorter reach than Chisora. Usyk divisions him decisively.

 

High potential for Usyk getting his head knocked off. Only if Ruiz is still what he was vs Joshua and Parker. Ruiz was so explosive and aggressive vs Parker. Parker was able to avoid him well enough but Ruiz looked super dangerous. I'm not sure the smaller Usyk could stand up to that kind of attack. But Usyk can box, he might surprise me and use good footwork to get away from him. But he had trouble getting away from Chisora and Ruiz has better stamina.

 

Usyk is capable of doing a Parker and outboxing him from the outside, if Ruiz comes in super fat. But maybe a close decision, definitely not a UD from last nights performance.

 

This would be a great fight for Uysk. A Top 5 ranked HW who is a former world champion. If AJ can control the ring fight from the outside so could Uysk.

Definitely worth the risk for Uysk because even if he takes a loss he will still be in the mix for a title shot at one loss. Think the Povetkin model here. It may delay that title shot by another year but he's got time.

If he beats Ruiz then there is almost no doubt that he is the top HW contender outside of the big 3 (AJ, Fury, Wilder) and a legit Top 5 fighter.

Ruiz is in a horrible shape.

 

Easier than Chisora for Usyk, Ruiz has absolutely no footwork, 119-109 Usyk decision

I dont want to see that fight, it would be too one sided, would be a terrific fight if Ruiz could move

 

Ruiz would stop Del Boy in 8 rounds if they fought, he’d rip him with combos up close, the speed difference is huge, plus Ruiz can take heavier fire than what chisora s got to offer, I say 8 rounds, it could be after 4. Neither would budge

 

There is actually no evidence that Ruiz has a better chin. Usyk has never been hurt in his career, the only time he came close to it was after Gassiev caught him with a flush looping hook, he looked slighly buzzed but not overly troubled

Ruiz has a terrific chin but Usyk seems to be packing granite imo

 

Obese Ruiz or fat Ruiz?

Fat Ruiz beats Usyk. Usyk doesn’t have the size and muscle like a Parker to keep Ruiz of him and tie him up on the inside for 12 rnds. Obese Ruiz loses 12 rnds as he plod after Usyk for 12 rnds eating jabs.

 

Not a single push up was done that day.

If it was Ruiz landing some of the shots Chisora landed early, I don't think Usyk takes them.

 

Him and Del have similar power though

 

Usyk would outpoint him with maybe a scare or two. Ruiz struggles with mover-types.
