Usyk was getting hit by washed up Chisora, and Joshua is much bigger and harder hitting. Joshua would knock little Usyk out.
I’m not entirely sure, since although Joshua is bigger, stronger, and much younger than Chisora he lacks Chisora’s experience. Also, Joshua doesn’t have Chisora’s upper body movement, which is what was giving Usyk a hard time in the early rounds. Joshua on the otherhand almost never moves his head, so I think Usyk will be a much tougher opponent for Joshua than people think.
I’m not overly impressed by Usyk at HW, not denying he’s a great fighter, but I don’t think he’s a great HW fighter.
What are you basing this on exactly? I mean... it's not like AJ fights even remotely similar to Chisora. Please, enlighten us on how you've come to this conclusion?
He failed to impress you. Maybe your expectations were set too high? Usyk is like a mad scientist, he values experience, and he likes playing with his opponents. And why shouldn't he? His goal isn't to impress you. It's to be better prepared for when he takes on the real challenges, kind of like how he looked lackluster vs. Kniazev and Rodriguez, then looked like a million bucks against Glowacki, Briedis, Huck and Gassiev.
He wouldn’t have to move his head much, his height/reach advantage combined with the jab/straight right would be all he needs in the way of defense. Joshua won’t be chasing Usyk around the ring, he’ll be using his length and dictating with a heavy jab. It’s gonna be difficult for Usyk to get into range and land punches, and if he was too cautious to sit down on his shots against Chisora he definitely won’t wanna be trading with Joshua like Ruiz did.
What did usyk get from facing a guy, who could make the cw limit if he wasnt a burger addicted fat pig? A washington or helenius fight would have made way more sence, the end of the day usyks final goal is to fight one of the big 3 who are all taller then him and have a reach advantage unlike chisora.
So I guess beating Pacquiao a top P4P talent, then losing by KO to Bud Crawford, a top P4P talent, is indicative of what? And everything I said there, still stands. Sadly for Jeff, he's too damn big for Welterweight, and too small for Light Middleweight. It happens... oh well. I'd also never compare Jeff Horn in a million years to Usyk, so this pointless.
