I'd love the idea of Usyk tearing through the HW ranks. But what he's shown us so far at HW has really just been "ok".
Usyk literally fought like Ali used to fight in many of his fights. Run rings around them & chip away .. LSC is a twig & posed no physical threat for Davis. He has no power & lacks physicality. Leos super featherweight run basically consists of fighting fellow former SBWs like himself. He was primed for somebody like Davis to walk through .. static, offers little resistance and can't fight off the back foot. Davis could easily make LW or maybe even 140.. just imagine Leo Santa Cruz at those weights Call me when Davis wins an Olympic gold, starts breaking records like the one Holyfield held & wins a super series tournament etc.. Stupid thread, proper bell end. 24 fights & he's still to fight a legit threat LOL
shut the **** up you racist. we all know that you are only saying that because Usyk is European. If you had any integrity then you would regard Mayweathers entire career as disgraceful if you are so against boxing technique and footwork
Usyk is a great fighter, he just won't be physically able to compete against someone like Fury or even Joshua. It'd be like Crawford fighting Caleb Plant or Daniel Jacobs.
I remember a lot of cats saying the same thing about Kell Brook being similar size to GGG but GGG gets no credit for that win even though Brook was an undefeated world champion.
Kell brook was never seen as elite lsc was a top 10 p4p fighter at one point. Ggg shouldn't get credit that jump was much more than lsc
Kell Brook was a lot more talented than LSC ever was or is. I agree GGG shouldn't get credit for that win but Tank shouldn't really get credit for this win either. At least Brook was in his prime, LSC is a few years past it. Both fights played out in a similar way the smaller guy had some success early until the size and power took over.
GGG got all sort of flack for his fight with Brook. The amount of crap he got too for Brooks being able to land punches on him. Tank got touched way more than GGG but it was a great win here while GGG was not. Hell we can say the same with Garcia and Spence. Spence got a ton of credit for defeating a much smaller good undefeated fighter in Garcia. Just no consistency.
Agreed, I was critical of GGG at the time. Yep Spence Garcia was the same yet Spence didn't get the same amount of crap as GGG copped. I have never like seeing over hyped guys get credit for fights they are supposed to win. I try to stay consistent no matter where the fighter is from.
Both tank and Leo honestly impressed me. It turned out to be a better fight then expected. Usyk had a good performance too imo. He looked better then I expected him to look after what has been essentially a 2 year lay off.
GGG got major praise for every one of his fights that he looked good in. No matter the advantages. I think it's stupid to cry about it anyway Are you kidding me? GGG got more praise than flack for beating Brook. Spence was being criticized from the get go. And the majority of the commentators and threads are hating on Tank's win. The exaggeration in some of these comments are hysterical.
Tank did his job got a brutal KO on a guy with a longer reach. LSC deserves that KO for standing toe to toe with a TANK. Now anytime a boxer moves up that is a challenge but still with limitations. Your aze move up to HW there are no limits and you risk your life every second inside that ring.
