I was about too write this. Leonard's hook to the body was the shot that actually changed the course of the fight. It was perfect with technique and placement. All the energy and aggression was taken from Hearns with that key shot.

I think that the right Duran landed on Leonard in the second round of Montreal that wobbled him hard contributed significantly to making him a bit gun-shy over the first two thirds of the fight (along with Duran's feinting ability).

It's been a while since I've watched it, but I recall Jofre landing a huge left on Medel towards the end of their first fight, right at the end of the round unless I'm mistaken. He was hurt with a broken nose and it looked like the tide was shifting in Medels favour, but that punch knocked all the stuffing out of him and fired Jofre up to go after him and finish him.

    Here’s an off-the-wall pick:

Right before the left hook that ended the fight, Mike Weaver pushed John Tate into the ropes and as Tate bounced back he sunk a right hand into the body and you can see Tate freeze.

The left hook KO comes right off of that.

I think without the right hand Tate doesn’t take the left so flush or doesn’t collapse from it. Maybe. I’m 100 percent convinced, and have been ever since the moment it happened, that the body shot was the key.

Carbajal-Gonzalez 1, round 5 when Chiquita dropped Carbajal, he knew he'd have to go all out for the finish because he couldn't take many more of those.

Never seen anything like that uppercut (Eubank-Watson). Tragic but can't be closeted.

I remember Tate saying that he was hurt in the 13th round and didn't really recall what happened after that. In the dressing room he thought he'd lost by decision.

I always loved that tiny hook Trinidad landed at the end of round 7 vs. Reid. He threw 2-3 quick shots but that last one had Reid on jello legs and took him out of the fight as a contest.

Rosario's left hook on Camacho is an obvious pick.

Crawford's fight against Gamboa deserves a mention. Gamboa was winning the first 4 rounds until Crawford decided to go southpaw and was able to drop Gamboa with a right hook that changed the course of the fight. The fight pretty much turned to Crawford's favor afterwards when he went full southpaw and controlled the fight and eventually stopping Gamboa.

Great choice. One of the most “Holy ****!” punches ever. Like something straight out of a movie. Jofre looked ready to go down right before he threw it. Medel was going all out for the finish and a second later he looked like a zombie.

Rarely hear anyone bring it up.

I think it was a left hook that Duran landed, Tin. But good shout. As was the one about the hook to the body Ray landed against Hearns in the 6th round. Changed the roles of both fighters, let alone the fight.

I suppose the right hand Hearns landed on Hagler's skull that broke his finger changed the fight from its projected trajectory. If Marvin was as badly rocked as some say, and Tommy still had two good hands, how would that have panned out?

Practically anyone of the flush right hand shots that Arguello landed on Prior in their first fight. It's a miracle Prior stayed upright, much less won the fight by TKO.
