I should add that although Griffith did have a low knockout rate cuz of his lost morale after the death of Paret, before that he was a tiger. He was powerful and fought aggressively. If you don't believe me, watch the Paret and Ortega fights. Griffith was a real two-fisted battler back thin. If he fought Benitez that way, he would stop him in 12.

Let me also add that whoever wins, Griffith is a lot more likely to win much more impressively.

Does no-one think Griffith might simply outwork him?

I do; if Griffith can keep Benitez pinned down or tied up, he would defeat him w/ his better strength and grappling ability, plus he was larger than Benitez, correct?

I am wrong. Griffith had a reach advantage, but Benitez was a few inches taller, and both at their peaks at welter, Benitez always outweighed Griffith by a pound or two.

Griffith would be my pick, of course Benitez will look good for a time but Emile's output wears him down over 15

Benitez didn`t use the same moves as Griffith though and was better at slipping shots.

Benitez was far harder to hit than anybody Griffith fought.

No way was he faster than Benitez, his counters weren`t a quick and Benitez had quicker reflexes.

At 147 in his prime it's a yes from me. Excellent hand speed.
