Chisora wants to replace Povetkin for Whyte III

No, I never had any doubts that this PPV was for Matchroom/SKY to showcase Usyk.
They're still going to pretend Chisora is better than he is though.

People seem to forget that Usyk is a Matchroom fighter.

 

He's not getting slated for wanting to fight.
It's the "Pay Per View" model that is drawing critcism towards Chisora and Whyte, and their managers and promoters.

Chisora stepping in at 2 weeks notice, off the back of a 12 round loss, to fight Whyte (who is also coming off a loss), is great ..... but shouldn't be PPV.
Most people thought two Whyte-Povetkin "eliminators" as PPV main events was a stretch, or a liberty.
Never mind this.

But I doubt it's happening anyway.

 

Agree 100% but that's beside the point.

This shouldn't be PPV and most likely won't be if it gets made. Win-win for both if you ask me.

It's Eddie's fault and Barry with that analogy they made years back about all the jets circling around biding their time to land on the runway (PPV slot). Eddie is the one that started all this rubbish about how fighters deserve PPV money.

Now Chisora has deluded himself into thinking he's a PPV fighter now. Same thing has happened with Whyte when he got his first PPV with Joseph Parker. He actually thinks he's a big PPV draw now. It's embarrassing. He wont fight on a regular show anymore.

Chisora has lost 10 times yet he still thinks he deserves PPV money and wont fight for any less and to do that, he needs to create some beef somewhere hence why he started having a go at Dillian Whyte again this week after the Povetkin rematch was cancelled. In the hope that Dillian would bite back and say "Yes I want to fight you again"

Why not get David fackin Price on a PPV. He wont say no to any fight. He'll also fight anyone and everyone. Plus he's more likeable than Chisora and Whyte

It's not an issue with the fighters wanting to fight. It's the fact that they think they are doing us fans a favor somehow by giving us fights no one has asked for on PPV. Chisora said to Simon Jordan on talksport. The fans want to see a 3rd fight. Fack off mate. That's in your head. no one want see you fight Dillian for a 3rd time. Don't use that smokescreen. You just want another bag of PPV loot. Don't try and put it on "the fans" want to see that fight.

 

To be fair, it's a good fight at domestic level.
Both of them are both coming off a loss at world level. The first two Whyte-Chisora fights were competitive. A third fight would be a good little fight.
But that's it.

As a PPV Main Event, no way.
No ****ing way.
please no.

 

I'm sure Ruiz would step in if Hearn needs a name for a proper ppv. All 300lb of him.

 

I think Ruiz (if he trained) vs Whyte would be a great fight stylistically.

 

The only thing I disagreed with Simon Jordan on there was that Whyte was "world level" or necessarily on trajectory there.
Whyte isn't as used-up as Chisora, and does still deserve a decent ranking, but the loss to an ancient Povetkin exposed his level.

 

Eddie said on IFL the other day that he would like Chisora out next on a Saturday fight night.....which is code for the Usyk fight did horrendous numbers below even modest expectations.

 

Agreed. That's the only thing I'd quibble too. I never realised that SJ followed boxing either - I only know him from his involvement in Crystal Palace.

 

Whyte fighting a stand in for Povetkin has only 2 pluses for Whyte firstly he will be back in gym so staying fit thus keeping his eye on WBC rather than KFC, and secondly earning a purse, he is not going to regain the no.1 contender status against any stand inf and if having a bad night and lost he would never be a contender again.

If i was Whyte i say sit it out, stay in shape and get the Povetkin rematch when he recovers, any other decision is all risk with nigh on zero reward for Whyte.

 

Has a go at Kugan for getting all the interviews and hogging the pie then wants to headline another PPV weeks after collecting his PPV loot fot turning up and trying against Usyk. Hogging the PPV millions, Del, it's not a good look if you are going to rip into someone for taking the opportunity given to him to interview boxers.

 

In shape Ruiz is far too durable for Whyte in my opinion

 

The one thing he got wrong was Whyte’s level, him and Chisora are well matched.
